這款是是日午餐的主菜 非常令人失望 先是本身魚柳薄薄一片 但明明我看到隔離有三人點了鱸魚柳 厚度是起碼我的有一倍!再者魚肉一點也不嫩滑 較鞋口! 

建議來這間的話還是點breakfast/brunch 的食物較好

On my birthday, I decided to treat myself with a nice, Western lunch on High Street as I only had an hour or so of lunch break. As I've already tried the majority of the restaurants in the area, I decided to try Ollies, which is a relatively new place, with their $98 lunch set (which is basically the same as every other restaurant on High Street).

The lunch set includes an appetiser, in which we chose the soup and the bruschetta with tomato and goat cheese. First of all, the soup was pretty average. I expected it to be a bit more creamy and I wished they had complementary bread to go with it too. The bruschetta was quite nice, and the tomatos and other toppings were fresh. The goat cheese was surprisingly delicious too and didn't have a huge pungent taste like some types of cheese.

Then came the mains and one of us ordered the Grilled Rib Eye Steak. Personally, I felt that the rib eye lacked in flavour by itself and was severely overpowered by the pepper sauce. The texture, however, was good as I do think it was soft and juicy, but again, it lacked flavour. I really liked the frites, though, as it wasn't too oily and had a good amount of flavour to it.

Moreover, we had the Fish and Mash and I must say, the Mash is absolutely spot on. It tasted so creamy and smooth, to a consistency that I love so much. The fish was quite nice, and the meat was quite soft and smooth as well.

Lastly, we had the dessert of the day, and to be honest, I wasn't really sure what it was, only that it was called something along the lines of a Bread Pudding. It wasn't particularly that delicious and I only took a bite out of it before deciding not to finish it.

Overall: A newly-opened place right next to High Street Grill. The restaurant has a nice environment, though it isn't very large.  Friendly staff.  Generous portion of food of reasonable quality.Arrived at Ollies at around 12pm on a Saturday.  The restaurant was not totally full so we got a table immediately.Mini nachos (HKD95) (Rating: 3/5)- The nachos are quite cheesy. The nachos are quite cheesy. The dipping sauce is generally nice, with my favourite being the tar tar sauce. The salsa sauce is a bit too salty for my liking. The nachos are not super crispy but the overall quailty is ok. The portion is quite large as well.

Baby back ribs (half rack) (HKD185) (Rating: 2.5/5)-

The portion of the ribs is generous, and the overall quality is ok.  Although the meat is not very dry as it is not totally lean, I expect the ribs to be more tender and succulent.  The seasoning of the meat should also be quite light as it does not taste quite salty.  Some of my friends found it a bit bland for their liking.

The thick cut fries on the side could be better - Although they are fresh and are crispy on the outside, they are not soft and mushy enough on the inside.

Corn fritters (HKD135) (Rating: 3/5) - 

Corn kernels mixed with avocado with Parma Ham and Benedict egg on top.

Quite refreshing in general. The avocado goes well with the corn kernels, adds smoothness to them, and does not overpower their sweetness.

The oozing egg yolk also complements with the ham and the rest quite well, giving the whole dish a layering flavour.

Ollies Pizza - Goat cheese, Parma Ham, meat ball (Rating: 4/5)

This is my favourite among all.  The pizza has a very thin and crispy crust.  It is flavourful and not greasy or heavy at all!  It has the right amount of cheese.  The Parma ham and meat ball also add saltiness to the pizza, complement with with the goat cheese, and enrich the overall taste of it.

本人首先是十分喜愛吃蜆和扁意粉
,所以呢個combination既野我都好喜愛,呢個意粉幾好味,有充足的olive oil 和香蒜味,但意粉硬左少少,如果再煮多一分明個意粉可能就岩岩好,都算係值得試下。

呢個risotto就mama啦,佢牛肝菌味都有好多菇,但就係無咩野鴨味。D risotto 應該係煮熟的,但係唔夠sticky同唔creamy,食落去有少少乾爭爭,所以都唔太推薦。

至於佢個mocktail我就無影相,唔算太特別,大家都可以唔洗叫。

如果佢仲出個個steak餐既話,我下次都會帶男朋友去食,不竟價錢未算太貴,男友又中意食牛排。

今日天氣好好,去了西環ollies。店內多是外國人。 點了hot breakfast系列既Corn FrittersCorn Fritters with smoked salmon整個菜式很特別,主要由粟米塊與牛油果蓉及荷蘭蛋黃醬作底,再放上煙三文魚及水煮蛋。味道並不溜,特別是牛油果,因本身很怕有太多牛油果的食物;粟米塊並不乾;水煮蛋雖然沒有流心蛋黃,但很滑,不老。 Banoffee pie好吃而又大件既Banoffee pie並𣎴容易找到,今日終於俾我揾到勒!!其實件pie好邪惡,很大件,很creamy!中間有新鮮香蕉 餅底並不硬,薄薄的消化餅加牛油。

Corn Fritters with smoked salmon

整個菜式很特別,主要由粟米塊與牛油果蓉及荷蘭蛋黃醬作底,再放上煙三文魚及水煮蛋。

味道並不溜,特別是牛油果,因本身很怕有太多牛油果的食物;

粟米塊並不乾;

水煮蛋雖然沒有流心蛋黃,但很滑,不老。

好吃而又大件既Banoffee pie並𣎴容易找到,

今日終於俾我揾到勒!!

其實件pie好邪惡,很大件,很creamy!

中間有新鮮香蕉


餅底並不硬,薄薄的消化餅加牛油。

和同事中午在西營盤覓食,走到高街發現新開了家西式餐廳看上去不錯就進去試試看。這家餐廳和左右兩旁的餐廳格局差不多,走的都是簡單但蠻有格調的外國路線,門口是開放式的,這天氣坐在外面如果不下雨應該很舒服。我覺得在高街上的西餐中午來吃比較划算,因為都有Lunch set供應而且主食和晚上吃的差不多,但價錢就非常親民。這家的set lunch全部是98塊港幣加一,看上去不錯。我和同事點了兩個不一樣的主食share,頭盤則都選了是日湯。今天上來的是番茄湯,喝了一口就不想再喝!!先說湯的顏色,有點像西瓜紅,好像和平時蕃茄湯的顏色不太一樣,感覺顏色很人工(驚)。而味道也是我喝過最奇怪的,味道很淡很稀,沒有太濃番茄味,不酸,所以喝了一口更覺得人工便放棄了。等了大概半小時主菜上來了,我們點了Fish and chips和roasted lamb leg. 炸魚表面炸得很脆,不算很厚也不太油。裡面的魚肉非常滑非常多汁,但好像沒有什麼魚味,如果大家很怕魚腥味的話這個一點都沒有。薯條是厚身的,炸得不夠脆,但上來的時候像剛炸出來的感覺,總體來說還可以。另外一個主食羊肉連皮有四片,旁邊有薯泥和紅色的微辣醬汁。羊肉煮

今天上來的是番茄湯,喝了一口就不想再喝!!先說湯的顏色,有點像西瓜紅,好像和平時蕃茄湯的顏色不太一樣,感覺顏色很人工(驚)。而味道也是我喝過最奇怪的,味道很淡很稀,沒有太濃番茄味,不酸,所以喝了一口更覺得人工便放棄了。

另外一個主食羊肉連皮有四片,旁邊有薯泥和紅色的微辣醬汁。羊肉煮得很熟,還蠻滑而且不會乾,肉質略略有點硬。如果不愛吃羊肉的人可能會覺得騒味很重,但我覺得味道其實不錯,不鹹不淡剛剛好。薯泥很香牛油味,打得不算很細但味道也ok.

這家餐廳午餐性價比高,雖然食物味道和同一條街上的另外一家有點差距,不過大家還是可以去試試看喔!(●'◡'●)ノ♥
