Booked on this site 4 days prior and received a phone call from the staff the very next day.
I had a female member of staff speaking in Cantonese which was nice a nice touch as I'm Chinese but born in Eng... you know what, there's no need to talk about my personal life but rest assured that the restaurant caters to both English and Cantonese-speaking clientele (as if anyone who is Chinese-speaking is going to read this review! Ha!)

I called a few hours before service to enquire if we could be seated at 18:30 instead of 19:00 which was my original booking but was told that the restaurant was fully-booked. It didn't matter to me because I'd not expected a different answer owing to my late request but what was curious was that upon arriving at 18:40 (we were told we could wait in the bar area if early) there were a number of tables empty. But hey-ho, it is what it is and I'm not complaining.

Our maitre D was a pleasant lady who spoke to us in English and she was polite and didn't mind when I asked if she could take some photos for us as we wanted to mark the occasion (and we got sat next to the window overlooking the harbour). Bit of a disclaimer; the er...pictures she took weren't exactly flattering and I'm not exactly what you call "trim" but I did laugh inwardly when my missus suddenly look like she gained a few pounds because of the "angles"... you know what I mean.

Argh. I monologued.

Here's what we ordered;

- One Lobster bisque
- Two Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes

- Morton's Prime Ocean Platter for two
- Dry-aged Ribeye
- Whiskey Infused Dry-aged Ribeye
- Lyonnaise Potatoes
- Lobster Macaroni & Cheese
- Rosemary mocktail
- Passion mocktail (I think. I can't remember).

- Lobster Bisque: Rich and savoury with some creaminess. Not heavy. A little lobster claw which was delicate and sweet. 
- Jumbo Crab Cakes: Someone on here commented that they were huge. They were not. They tasted OK (and by that I mean it was just a regular crab cake; it certainly didn't impress me) and came with a mayonaise/tabasco/ worcestershire sauce kind of "crab cake  sauce" that was more spicy and sour than tangy.
- Morton's Prime Ocean Platter for two (cold): Lobster tail, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters, Jumbo Lump Crabmeat, Ahi Tuna Poke. 
Lobster tail: cold and while it was OK, it was a bit difficult to pull out from the shell. I brought out the inner caveman in me and used my fingers to pull it out. *beats chest like a Neanderthal*.
Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail: Two Shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side. A little bog-standard. Nothing new to comment. Shrimp not very sweet and needed cocktail sauce to spruce it up. Cocktail sauce erring more on spicy and tangy side.
Oysters: I couldn't remember where they were from but they had a faint sweet finish. Think Gillardeau but a quarter of the sweetness. These were small and plump.
Jumbo Lump Crabmeat: Lumps of crabmeat. I tried it with the cocktail sauce, vinaigrette and crab cake  sauce (see above if you wanted to know what it was) and it matched best with the cocktail sauce (but I would have preferred if it was sweeter- but that's my personal opinion).
Ahi Tuna Poke: Very tasty tuna with two crispy slivers of some sort of tortilla (they weren't tortilla) crisp. Very moreish. Best out of the lot.

Dry-aged Ribeye (Medium to Medium rare): Had the faintest funky smell that I hear so much from gastronomes off youTube. Though Medium-rareish, it was slightly firm but nonetheless succulent. Missus couldn't stop eating it (and neither could I!)
Whiskey Infused Dry-aged Ribeye (Medium to Medium rare): For a hundred dollars more, this was another "funky" steak but with added whiskey. Really different, the smell was definitely unashamedly in my face. A treat. Must try.
Lyonnaise Potatoes: I'd never had these before. Fried semi-circles of slightly sweet potatoes with a generous amount of fried onions. I thought it was a better option than frites with truffle salt (I love truffles: I just didn't think it would  pair too well with a thousand dollar steak, is all).
Lobster Macaroni & Cheese: Get this. It's lobster. It's Mac. It's radiation-coloured cheese; what's NOT to like?
Rosemary mocktail: Surprisingly there wasn't a hint of rosemary; not even a leaf. It was OK. Strawberry syrup, coconut cream and something else. I have work tomorrow and didn't fancy alcohol.
Passion mocktail: Pineapple and something something something else. I didn't try it. Missus was OK with it. Nothing to comment about, really.

And there you have it. Service was nice; the staff were all quietly friendly without wanting to engage into conversation. This is, after all, a romantic setting and there were a few other tables with couples celebrating birthdays and other important occasions. 
I have to add that my Whiskey Infused steak came out well-done and after informing a member of staff, they quickly made me a new one which was perfectly done when I pressed on it with my knife- I didn't need to cut into it to know. They were very polite about it.

Bonus: since it was our anniversary, the staff made us a chocolate souffle. It was HUGE. It didn't stop me and my missus wolfing it down. It was that good. 

Will I come again? 
To be brutally honest, no. 
I liked the place for its romantic ambience, setting and views of the harbour, it is second to none. 
The steaks... well, I paid handsomely for their best but I'm going to say that there is one other place that is the place to beat. It was close, don't get me wrong but I just happen to prefer another place slightly more.
The crab cake was a tad bit of a disappointment for me, too. There's another place that REALLY makes THE BEST crab cakes but who goes to a steak eatery just for crab cakes, am I right?
Please do come and try it at least once. It's not cheap, but if you're looking for that something "extra" to celebrate, to treat your nearest and dearest or you're a carnivore like me and YOU MUST TRY THEM ALL, then I would recommend you to come. I'm always on the lookout for the ultimate steak. You'll be looked after VERY well in this fine eatery and it seems to me that most, if not all the staff can speak English and a majority of these can also speak Cantonese. 


I hope this review gives you a clearer picture to your decision making. 
題外話/補充資料: I didn't demand to sit by the window but it was nice and thoughtful of the staff to put us there. "Please" and "Thank you" will get you far in life (as if I needed to voice it), but to me, it does make a difference when you're asking someone to take a picture for you. Be kind to each other.

一個月前準備同女朋友慶祝生日,煩緊book咩餐廳時search到呢一間餐廳,初時睇相見到佢門口有啲白色格仔裝修好似幾靚,所以就book咗呢一間打吓卡影吓相慶祝吓📸🥂Book嗰時預先同佢講係慶祝生日用嘅,去到見到已經擺好咗生日嘅小擺設,同埋有一張印有女朋友名Happy birthday嘅Menu,除咗可以用來點餐之外,仲可以作為紀念, 十分特別🥰我哋叫嘅set都夠兩個人食,有牛扒、生蠔、餐包、黑松露芝士薯條、龍蝦湯,同埋有一個菜,最後仲有兩個甜品送返。呢啲食材都十分之新鮮,最滿意係個生蠔,夠晒肥美🤤同女朋友過咗一個滿足特別嘅生日👍👍

我哋叫嘅set都夠兩個人食,有牛扒、生蠔、餐包、黑松露芝士薯條、龍蝦湯,同埋有一個菜,最後仲有兩個甜品送返。

原本諗住情人節去試下呢間出名既海景扒房,訂位個陣都有要求安排海景位。點知當日去到,安排左離海景最遠既枱,我地話想要海景位,服務員就同我地講,個個都request左海景位,叫我地一係坐酒吧位等下。當時已經8點,等得黎都唔洗食,所以我地最後被安排坐左一張離海景最遠既枱。點餐個陣,原本好期待試下肉眼扒,叫左medium well,點知最後變左well done咁濟,啲肉質都麻麻地,有啲失望😟反而前菜同埋龍蝦湯就有驚喜,其他菜式既味道都還好。不過性價比唔高,平日去食可能抵啲🥲

地點算是很方便,餐廳佈置簡約, 重點在於窗外尖沙咀海濱及海港景色, 但並不十分特別。餐廳座位很接近, 加上樓底低, 七八成滿座已經十分喧鬧, 三五知已聚會就夠熱鬧, 想靜靜傾偈並非好地方,絕對不適合二人世界約會談情說愛。侍應服務與態度普通一般並帶一些冷漠, 完全並未達到酒店水平, 基本餐具也不足夠合適,食物整體還尚算不錯, 若果有其它地方大可不用再來。十分喧鬧, 三五知已聚會就夠熱鬧, 想靜靜傾偈並非好地方,絕對不適合二人世界約會談情說愛。侍應服務與態度普通一般並帶一些冷漠, 完全並未達到酒店水平, 基本餐具也不足夠合適,食物整體還尚算不錯, 若果有其它地方大可不用再來。

Book 左6 點鐘 via open rice一開始入到去聽到reception同個帶位講照比sofa佢 以為係啲咩好嘅位置 因為一入到去仲見到好多空枱 點知坐低食咗一陣 發現張枱係斜嘅⋯杯嘢飲都好幾次差啲倒瀉 因為係唔平衡嘅最後真係忍唔住 問佢哋可唔可以俾第二張枱最後轉左位 但個體驗真係好差嗌咗個 porterhouse,三文魚扒,洋蔥湯埋單2000幾 但啲service 好差野食上得好慢,食物質素還好,服務好差⋯好後悔book咗呢度去慶祝朋友生日⋯

thought the food quality & service should good but it was disappointed . it's a birthday dinner , the waitress had used the restaurant mobile to take several photos for us which we were not aware was not our mobile. so several private photos were taken by using their mobile , so we request restaurant to send us back our copies which took in their mobile , end up they don't send back even after the next day, bad service.we had requested a window seat when we made the booking on phone , they said

we had requested a window seat when we made the booking on phone , they said window seat cannot request and it should be random offers. so we thought this is the restaurant rules but end up when we arrived, most of the window seats were told is been reserved .and gave us a reason that others reserved at an earlier time than u.

bad service ever for such price

food is good but how a chain restaurant can survive like this in long term ? many questions

終於book 到呢間位於喜來登酒店內既扒房,但揸車嘅朋友注意啦,餐廳消費係用唔到免費酒店代客泊車服務。不過有樣特別嘢,就係只要訂枱嘅時候,講係慶祝紀念日,菜單上就會寫上當日日期同慶祝目的。都算係幾貼心特別嘅整個環境係經典美國扒房風格,暗暗既燈光,好有情調。星期一既晚飯時間,餐廳係滿座,所以窗邊位置較難預約。3 course 2人set 包括前菜,主菜+配菜,甜品,非常滿足。龍蝦湯熱辣辣又濃郁嘅龍蝦味,以呢個級數嘅餐廳,絕對符合期望。牛扒基本上跟set 嘅主菜都有牛扒嘅選擇,不過我地就加錢升級做New York Strip。慶祝當然要食好D 啦!靚貨+Grilled 得好= 完美三文魚柳配蟹餅嚟到扒房又係無得唔試下D 蟹餅呢d 基本嘢,無失望!深海龍蝦尾調味適中,整得無過老,肉質仍然係好有彈性,值得叫嘅!甜品朱古力蛋糕配雲呢拿雪糕,仲寫上慶祝字句,靚!

說回這斧頭扒,外層的梅納效應極緻,肉汁、肉質、肉味都有著完美的展現!一口肉,配上了一杯紅酒(忘了是哪款,反正在 drink menu中平平地 $170一杯),真的初次感受到紅酒跟上好牛扒的完美搭配,需要合上眼去細嚐

到用餐的尾聲,是貼心的甜品拼盤,甜品略甜但出色,朱古力慕絲夠濃,朱古力 strawberry 夠 juicy,唯一,有趣的,是 New York Cheese Cake,blue cheese的味道較濃,未必適合每人口味

整個用餐過程有點急,上菜節奏有點過快,45分鐘多點就應該是完成了這頓飯。雖然訂枱時已經知道用餐限時為兩小時,但在餐廳沒 full house的情況下,給我們遞上了帳單,還是有點點的失落!
總括而言,我會帶著去美式餐廳(跟意、法菜的一樣,presentation及吃的沒那麼仔細,同時,也較casual,沒太拘謹)的心態,去到訪這上好的傳統扒房。現場見有不少顧客都是慶生、或不同的慶祝活動,侍應招待有禮,餐廳安排亦貼心,因此,為肉食性親友慶祝,Morton's 絕對是個好選擇!

The night is the eve of Lunar New Year, and the restaurant is fully occupied. The ambience did not change much, with dim lighting, plush carpet and nice table size, offering comfortable seating. Though packed it is not that noisy, and for those fortunate to get the window seats there is also the fantastic Victoria Harbour view to accompany the meal.

After ordering a glass of Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs ($150) and a mocktail Passion Show ($70) as aperitif, we are served the signature onion bread, which is very soft, with a nice butter to go along. Even though it is quite big, we almost finish the whole in one go before the appetizers arrive.

The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake ($240 each) is very good, with the crab cake truly jumbo in size, the largest one I have eaten. Beautifully pan-fried with a brown crust, the crab cake is stuffed with delicate and sweet crab meat. Paired with a roasted lemon to give some acidity with a smoky touch, and a nice mayonnaise, this one is fantastic in taste and in my opinion one of the must order dish.

The Caesar Salad ($155) is more straight forward, with the Romaine lettuce crunchy and fresh. The dressing is also nicely done, sufficient to coat the lettuce and give a nice flavour while not excessive, with the crunchy croutons and plenty of shaved Parmesan cheese complementary. The portion size is also very large, allowing us to split to two and each of us still having a good serving.

Ordering a glass of Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon ($350) to go with my steak, I have ordered the Signature Cut Prime New York Strip ($828), cooked to medium level. The large piece of steak is of 20oz, very juicy and tender with the right amount of lean and fat, and seasoned wonderfully. It will take a big stomach to eat the whole portion though, and recommend you to order the smaller serving or to share if possible. Might seem simple, but it is one of the best steaks I have tried.

My wife has the leaner Center-Cut Filet Mignon ($698) instead. For the ladies this one also is a bit big in size, of a generous 12oz. The steak is very tender, and I would recommend having this one to medium rare to medium at most to ensure it does not get too dry, as otherwise that will significantly reduce the enjoyment.

For the side dish we have Sauteed Spinach & Button Mushrooms ($120) and Lyonnaise Potatoes ($140). The spinach is young and not fibrous, and the mushrooms having a nice earthy taste which also goes well with the wine.

The potatoes are sliced and deep-fried before cooking together with plenty of shredded onion and some bacon, very delicious. Both the side dishes are also big in size so I would suggest ordering just one for two persons. We ended up having to pack half of each back home.

For dessert I have Morton’s Coffee ($130), a signature beverage similar to Irish coffee, but instead of whisky, it uses Amaretto and Baileys Irish Cream, as well as dark crème de cacao, to mix with the coffee, then topped with a thick whipped cream, with some cinnamon on the glass rim. A nice dessert drink but quite strong in alcohol so need to be aware.

My wife has the Mixed Berries ($130) which has an abundance of fresh berries, including blueberries, strawberries, raspberries. Sweet and flavourful. 

Service is good, but there is not much explanation of the dishes. The bill is $3,692 and if you like steak, this is a good option to enjoy a nice one, and to experience the vibe of a classic American steakhouse.
