We started with split pea soup, which was not bad, though a little salty. This was followed by steamed mussels. The soup stock was nice and we could have used a bit more. The mussels were fresh if a little small. I wanted the flank steak as my main dish but they had run out, so I opted for fettuccine with truffle oil. Dessert was a fried dough ball with ice cream. The dough ball was okay, though was dry and lumpy. I loved the ice cream. The cup of hot tea was unremarkable.
Service was a tad slow, but staff were friendly, and topped up water etc without being asked. The two ladies at the table next to me had eaten here the day before and returned today as they liked the food.
