Recently met a couple friends at Bloom for dinner before heading out for drinks in LKF... the ambiance and decor was spot on- warm and intimate, yet open with plenty of space: a rare find in HK. We started with Oysters and the Cedar River Beef Tartare, which were both great. I ordered the Carrot-Miso Black Cod, and every component of the dish was fantastic. The staff were refreshingly cordial and attentive. Will definitely be returning soon!

話說本人唔算好好酒但成日會想試下味,好奇心作祟見到Lily有個四週年推廣星期一至六5pm-8pm期間首杯selected menu內飲品只售HK$5(已包加一其後買一送一咁抵玩唔可以唔黎試下佢既cocktail既:^)利申:唔識品酒,唔熟酒精,只係講番自己飲到個味Clover Club呢款cocktail係有raspberry馥莓同埋檸檬味道酸酸甜甜,感覺清新又易入口莓果香自然,甜甜地,令到酒味冇黎得咁濃烈面頭既泡泡好綿密,飲落令成杯cocktail更溫和Manhattan呢個我覺得係味道比上一杯較濃烈既帶點木香,也許是因為有苦精真係要趁佢凍飲哂佢,放耐左溫度提升就有點難入口了苦中帶點嗆口,似乎不對我的口味薯條(送)免費送既薯條炸得香脆可口,熱度保持得到,因而未有泛油鹽下得剛剛足夠又均勻灑上香草,沾上帶甜既醬汁,份外惹味

呢款cocktail係有raspberry馥莓同埋檸檬
味道酸酸甜甜,感覺清新又易入口
莓果香自然,甜甜地,令到酒味冇黎得咁濃烈
面頭既泡泡好綿密,飲落令成杯cocktail更溫和

I had been dying to dine at Bloom since I first heard about it. Finally, my family and I ate at Bloom for dinner after much anticipation.  Bouquet is an amalgamation of seafood; including lobster rolls, oysters, clams, prawns, crab salad and mussels. The clams were very fresh but the mussels were rather small. The lobster roll was also too sweet for my tasting. I had never tried a chicken waffle before because I was apprehensive to mix sweet and savoury. The fried chicken was crispy and delicious but slightly undercooked. I wasn’t a big fan of the waffle.

I was very excited to have the mac & cheese as I have heard good things about it and it did not disappoint! The mac & cheese was nice and creamy with crunchy bits of bread crumbs.

The Ultimate Ice Cream Sundae was smaller than I had imagined, nonetheless, it was still good! The coconut gelato, salted caramel ice cream and banana ice cream were all very nice. Drizzled on top was caramel sauce and hot fudge along with cookie crumble, whipped cream and a cookie as toppings.

The service at Bloom was impeccable; the staff were very polite and helpful. I liked the atmosphere and décor of the restaurant. I would definitely go there again!

黃鰭吞拿溫度剛好,魚肉軟稔,味道亦濃郁,用上了橙汁,更能把魚味突顯;而墨西哥脆片亦很香脆,帶點粟米香,沾上牛油果醬,味道不錯喔。

這杯的酒精味頗強勁的,又gin又rum,不強才怪。除了可清楚嚐到那gin味,還帶些橙和檸檬香,適合那些喜歡濃味cocktail的朋友。

頗喜歡這道菜,那龍蝦呈半生熟,入口爽滑彈牙,龍蝦味亦濃郁,鮮甜美味;而炸蟹球亦炸得非常香脆,熱辣辣的,蟹味亦濃郁;吃時沾上旁邊的檸檬醬,能減其膩之餘亦份外開胃。

肥肥的豬腩肉,有誰不愛? 吃豬腩肉還好,如果是長在身上的,那還是避之則吉。這件肥豬肉,肉質鬆軟,ancho bbq sauce的味道亦很濃郁,非常惹味;另外還很喜歡吃旁邊的火箭菜,香而不苦,很喜歡喔。

House Smoked Duck & Seared Foie Gras
不知道是否因為我們太多人,所以廚師們都很忙,所以這碟duck & foie gras實在有點失水準,鵝肝的外層是很香脆,但內裡是真正的入口即溶,生得有點可怕;而smoked duck還算不錯吧,至少肉質不嚡亦不會過生;反而旁邊那位多士做得還不錯,脆脆的很美味。

Dry Aged Wagyu Striploin
吃過很生的foie gras後,便到和牛了;本來對和牛沒甚麼期望,但這是出乎意料的美味,和牛味道濃郁,肉質亦很軟稔,帶著油脂,加上那creamy的醬汁,不小地把整塊牛都吃清了。

最後便到甜品了,特別喜歡那caramel ice cream,caramel味道算強的,而且質感亦算幼滑,算是不錯的。
是日大部份的菜式都做得不錯,而且這裡的環境亦不錯,氣氛很好,最適合與友人把酒談天。

We stopped by Bloom for some western favourites for our last date night. While I frequent the restaurant often for their weekday lunch bazaar (delicious soba salad!), as well as their Sunday brunch (perfect for a lazy bum like me), I hadn't visited for dinner in a while. While I frequent the restaurant often for their weekday lunch bazaar (delicious soba salad!), as well as their Sunday brunch (perfect for a lazy bum like me), I hadn't visited for dinner in a while. I really enjoyed the dim lighting and how it highlighted the decor. It made for a laidback yet sexy spot for date night. We ordered oysters, which were sweet, succulent and fresh. Their steak tartar was another big hit. Of course, we couldn't go without some fried chicken, which was served with waffles for a perfect pairing of textures. We loved the pork chop, and the Austrian pasta was loaded with flavour and a great alternative to run-of-the-mill pasta types served elsewhere. We sampled so many cocktails during the course of the meal and they were as delicious and well-made as when Lily & Bloom first opened their doors. Though incredibly full and a bit tipsy, we still had to try dessert and splurged on the cinnamon bun and the king banana. The latter was so delicious, and apparently employs three types of bananas in its composition. An amazing end to a great meal! Loved it.

綜合整頓晚宴,水準還是高水平的。最值得讚賞的是當晚試了八款酒。侍應生不停的換酒杯都絕對沒有手軟及給面色,服務水平非常專業。值得一讚。

Happy Thanksgiving! Our group of 5 decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner at Bloom since they had a special Thanksgiving menu with turkey. Lily & Bloom are actually on two separate floors where Lily is a lounge on 6/F and Bloom is a restaurant on 5/F. When you take the elevators up, you arrive at Lily first and you have to take a flight of stairs down to Bloom. Eastside ($105) - this is my favorite drink from Lily! Bloom has their own bar as well with different cocktails but since none of them appealed to me, I requested this drink from Lily. Consisting of cucumber, mint, gin and lime, the cocktail was refreshing as it was tart and sweet. So good that I had two that night!

Whole Baked & Stuffed Artichoke ($160) - the artichoke arrived with some warm artichoke brandade filled in the center along with truffle dressing. The way you're supposed to eat it is to take one of the artichoke leaves, dip it into the sauce, and eat the fleshy base. The artichoke was soft while the sauce was light and flavorful. It was a light and healthy dish to start off our long night of indulgence, but to be honest, I've never been a big fan of artichoke.

Manhanttan Clam Chowder ($98) - someone in our party wanted soup so I ended up sharing this with her. The clam chowder was plentiful with tomato, potatoes, smoked corn, and clams. While it was flavorful and comforting to drink, it was not that special or amazing.

Fisherman's Charcuterie ($110) - surprisingly good! The ingredients arrived unassembled with mackerel pate, pickled herring, shiso leaves, smoked norwegian salmon, and toast. The flavors were fresh as the pickled herring was acidic while the salmon was rich. The pate was thick and creamy as a spread. Each of the ingredients tasted good by itself but even better when put together as a little bruschetta.

Thanksgiving Specials

Baby Shrimp Ceviche ($120) - the shrimps were plump and raw while the dip was thick and creamy. The sauce was pretty spicy as it was made from yuzu habanero sauce and avocado. The portions were pretty small for the price though with only 3 shrimps and some chips along with the dip. Good but not great.

Pumpkin Ravioli ($110) - the pumpkin ravioili was the most appealing to me on the Thanksgiving specials with Japanese spa egg and mortadella sausage, but the execution fell short of expectation. I was not able to taste any pumpkin in my ravoili. While the ravioli was soft and creamy, the flavors were not rich or memorable. The portions were also tiny to share among several people.

Warm Fall Salad ($95) - this was a great dish! The salad consisted of grilled peaches, cabbage, and bacon. The sweetness of the peaches were nicely balanced by the saltiness of the bacon. The cabbage were soft and yummy to eat. A very nice combination of ingredients!

Bloom Fried Turkey ($295) - apparently the turkey is from Bresse in France where the birds are highly valued for their flavor and fine tender flesh. For the price, we got 4-5 slices of turkey along with mashed potato, yam, brussels sprouts, gravy and cranberry sauce. The turkey was fine and a bit dry, though the gravy and cranberry sauce helped to enhance the flavor. The mashed potato and yam were both creamy and flavorful. A bit pricey for the portion.

Thanksgiving Platter ($350) - the Thanksgiving platter had a more variety of meat including turkey, ham, and beef along with vegetables and stuffing. The ham was alright while the beef was really good as it was tender and delicious! The stuffing was also pretty amazing as the texture was soft and creamy while the taste was flavorful and comforting. This dish seemed to be a better deal than just the turkey.

Pumpkin Pie - you can't have Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie! Unfortunately, the pumpkin pie was pretty flat here with no flavor of pumpkin at all. The pie was thin without the creamy texture - pretty disappointing.

Tropic Banana Split ($150) - this dessert on their regular menu fared a bit better with lots of different ingredient included like a banana walnut cake, coconut semifreddo, mango granita, strawberry ice cream, and cinnamon chocolate sauce. Almost a bit too much if you ask me as the ingredients didn't mix well together. The flavors just didn't gel together and the ingredients were all separate from each other. It was all over the place and not satisfying.

Conclusion - the ambiance of Bloom was great and hip while the decor was cool and vintage. The food was a bit mixed here as they were generally pricey with small portions. Some dishes were good while others were a complete miss - perhaps because we were mainly ordering from their Thanksgiving specials. Given the inconsistent quality of the food, the prices were simply not worth it. The service was adequate but we had a communication problem with our waitress who couldn't answer any questions we had on the menu. She can take down our order but nothing else. It was a bit frustrating to be honest and detracted from the overall dining experience at Bloom.

We were in a group of 12. Most of us didn't order the lunch bazaar (Buffet lunch) for not eating too much, so we just selected few items from the main course menu. When the food came, most of the 'main courses' were in apertizer size of the lowest range. All of us were shocked and agreed that the main course should really be considered as apertizers only.

I suspect that the waiter heard about we were not that hungry!


I suggest to order the burger or penne as they are in much more normal portion.

  中環HH的地方好像已經沒有什麼新意, 好像我們只是去傾下計hea下的地方, 已經去得7788, clubbing 又超齡了, 今日去到蘭桂坊, 一臉茫然, 不知去那裡才好, 突然想起去bloom, 一直想去而沒有去過, bloom的環境有點像hyde, 感覺好一點的是吃飯的較多, 安靜得可以說說話, HH的酒都不錯, 朋友覺得這枝阿根廷的白酒有些花香, 清新, 不俗! 至於食物方面, HH對於我們這些嗜酒之徒來說, 不用飽肚, 佐酒的東西更好, MENU上有各款小食, 據聞Bloom的Oyster 不錯, 所以一試無防, 新鮮但沒有什麼特別印象, 價錢其實十分相宜, 也點了一客bucket of fire, 薯條是我們的近期大熱, 很香脆, 但很懷念美國的黑松露薯條, 香港的好像沒有那麼好吃, 還有一些炸的小點, 很容易又過了一個晚上, 人生就是這樣, 開開心心又一天!

Fried chicken was good but I personally didn’t expect to find it on the menu at places like Bloom.Overall, food was acceptable, but the portion was too small for grown-ups. Service was great thou. The waiter and waitress we had were very friendly and attentive.

I'd read some favourable reviews of Bloom and it seemed like it could be a good place. The evening started well. The venue itself has a nice decor, is nicely lit with nice music...nice!! We were welcomed warmly into the candlelight, given, what appeared to be, an impressively ambitious and innovative menu and all seemed well with the world. Then came the food....We ordered starters of scallop ceviche and grilled beef tongue. My ceviche was well under seasoned without a notable trace of the promised chilli and lime. However, my scallops were nice and fresh. The beef tongue was edible but rather unexciting and would probably be considered cooking at a domestic standard rather than a decent restaurant. For mains we ordered stuffed quail from the starter menu and cod with miso. The quail was overcooked and under-seasoned. The cod was cooked okay but the presentation of the dish appeared to have been given little thought or care and the sweet potato tempura was just bad. We ordered a pineapple upside-down cake for dessert which continued the bland theme. A special mention must go to the pineapple chunks left on the side of the plate which had the consistency and taste of cardboard. I think the venue itself is trying hard and but needs to address a few issues in the kitchen, the menu is over-ambitious for a which the chef cannot deliver.

I tried out Bloom's Late Night menu for the first time when I went there for some cocktails one night, and the food turned out to be surprisingly delicious!(1) The Mezze Platter ($110) had a few of my favourite items on it: falafel, hummus, olives and pita bread.(2) The Grilled Sausages ($210) were not bad either - there was a range of different sausages, including argentinian sausage, polish kielbasa, frankfurter, irish banger and chorizo. (3) The best snack that night, however, were the Chocolate Chip Cookies ($75). There were two pieces of cookies in each serve - one was a milk chocolate cookie and the other was a white chocolate cookie. The best things about the cookies was that they were warm when they were brought to our table, and there was some peanut butter in them which made them absolutely addictive - I managed to scoff down the whole cookie even after a big meal!

同朋友食午飯,一早book定枱,所以唔使等。但到我地食完都冇坐滿,可能平日少人啲。我地點單一個course.朋友點了garganelli pasta,我就點了bloomberg-er。漢堡味道很好,伴碟的薯條係剛炸起好味道!醬汁好creamy..可惜牛肉生左啲, 但味道都好唔錯....侍應都係講英文,服務態度亦幾好。有機會嘅話會再來試佢地嘅harvest selection...

其实我想试这间餐厅很久。 不过一直没有机会。

我们两个人试了:

cream of mushroom - 马马虎虎。 有mushroom 渣, but no mushroom 味道 nor mushroom 香。campbell 的比它还要好。

mussel - 他们claim 是美国来的。I sincerely doubted。我们食了7隻,有2隻是坏的!
好像太多了吧。

broiled mackerel - too oily, and fishy too!!
tempura broccoli 全是油!!

fettuccini w pork ragu - ok 啦。味道一般,就是太湿。fettuccini 都可算是 an dente 吧

apple pie - 这味不错。好食。
如果是伴雪糕 instead of cream 就更好

bread - 面包要赞。a lot of butter flavor。 劲肥。
but very yummy !!

有一点一定要point out。service 非常麻麻。绝对不是 any first class restaurant 应有的。

试问那间高级少少的restaurant 会把appetizer, soup and main 的 order 弄错?!最差是 sorry 都无声。
我们食左salad bar, 便来 main course, 之后才是 oyster and soup !!他们仲话因为oyster 要人手开喔!


真是差劲!!
