不一樣的 Carbonara (HK$158+10%),內藏法國兔仔肉,味道還不錯呀!星期五放假,與媽媽來到蘭桂坊的 LKF Tower 6/F 的 Lily & Bloom,經過 Lily 酒吧往下落樓梯,到了 Bloom 餐廳,典雅懷舊的裝修設計,燈光略嫌昏暗。自助頭盆供應多款特色沙律,都是源自本地新鮮食材,醬料也是自家調製的,吃得出心思,只是沒有婷婷最愛的粟米,有點失望。幸好主菜兔仔肉 Carbonara 還算不錯,兔仔肉嫩滑美味,非一般的 Carbonara。侍應服務平平,像普通酒吧一般水準,完全談不上是 Fine Dining,試試而已,可以不必再來了!

My friends and I came on Sunday and the restaurant offered a Three Course Brunch at $400 (4yrs - 11yrs $200), with an appetiser buffet, a main course and a dessert; unfortunately, we found that the standard of Bloom has significantly dropped.

(1) It is always nice to see oysters at an appetiser buffet, and I happily delved into these Coffin Bay oysters. The fact that each person was limited to 12 pieces of oysters could be forgiven if the oysters tasted good, but they were tasteless and unexciting; at least there was some hearty ham and cheese that I could stuff myself with!

(2) The Seattle Benedict ($140), with home cured smoked salmon, was perhaps the best option at brunch. The foccaccia was lightly toasted and delicious, and the smoked salmon had clear, delicious flavours and was smothered in satisfying, thick brown butter hollandaise sauce. The Classic Benedict ($140) was a failsafe option too!

(3) The Mexican food-fiend in me made me go for the Steak Burrito ($140), which was stuffed with beef, scrambled egg, cheese, and beans. The taste of the burrito was rather nondescript – the beef was bland, and the scrambled egg was insufficiently seasoned. It could also have been spicier. The burrito, sadly, was an unequal partner to an outstanding guacamole, which was rich, creamy and delicious.

(4) Tired and groggy, a few of us ordered this Orange Juice ($40) to go with our morning coffee. With our bodies desperately calling for Vitamin C, we deliberately asked the waitress if the juice was freshly squeezed, and the answer was in the affirmative; but when our juices arrived, it was in an artificial tangerine colour, tasted way too sweet and most importantly was definitely not “freshly squeezed”! We couldn’t be bothered to argue with the waitress on this point, and decided to ask for some ice cubes so that it could dilute the juice a bit.

Haven't had a decent lunch in Central for a while, I decided to try out this one for a change as I have heard fairly reasonable comments from a few friends.The dining area is actually on the 5th Floor of the building while the lift only stops at the 6th floor where the bar is. Haven't had a decent lunch in Central for a while, I decided to try out this one for a change as I have heard fairly reasonable comments from a few friends.

The dining area is actually on the 5th Floor of the building while the lift only stops at the 6th floor where the bar is. Having made a reservation beforehand, we were promptly led to our table. I was rather surprised to find that the tables were rather packed together. Apart from a few round tables at the periphery and the centre of the restaurant, the ones that sat 2-4 people were very close together. One would have to negotiate the 1-foot gaps between the tables to the sitting benches, these gaps were so narrow that they would not be able to accommodate a medium-sized man or a lady with a bulky handbag. The proximity between the tables would make private conversations very difficult.

Between us, we had two 2-course lunches and one 3-course set lunch. These two are basically the same with the inclusion of an extra main course from the menu in addition to a soup, the harvest buffet and a non-alcoholic drink.

The bread that came first was stale, cold and hard with only a little dish of butter to be shared between the 3 of us. The carrot soup was lukewarm and bland. The harvest buffet was basically a salad bar with some cold cuts. Nothing to write home about. Adding to the insult, there was some form of salad dressing (only one type available) which seemed ill-fitted to any of the veggies available.

I had Bloomberger as the main course. The meat was mediocre with no flavour whatsoever, I have tasted better meats from fast-food joints.

On the plus side, the staff was fairly efficient, the high ceiling and large windows also gave the restaurant a very roomy and airy atmosphere.

lunch time 的$145 harvest selection, 包每位一打生蠔, salad bar, soup, coffee or tea.環境高級, 整潔, 有輕音樂作 backgroud music, 令人心情開朗的.但某幾個server很差, 十問九唔應, 仲做出厭惡表情, 同其他同事打眼色以示不滿, 作為食客的我的感覺係, 佢地唔願做, 仲互相冷笑表現自己係不屑幫忙. 收左碟餐具又唔refill, 咁點食落去呢? 作為一間酒店內中上level的餐廳, 實在唔professional. 有幾多怨言都好, 冇客人在面前, 講粗口鬧都仲得, 但做到出面, 真係唔要得.食物方便, salad bar食物唔錯, 但種類較少, 不是全部有refill, smoke salmon就只見過一次, 海螺refill了一次就再沒有了.主打的生蠔, 比酒店自助餐的好, 始終是即開, 但可能太多order了, 開得不細緻, 當中有很多隻是插到爛哂, 亦有好多沙同蠔殼.但衛生就應該ok, 我們12:00lunch, 現在17:00都未有人肚痛, 應該冇問題既.coffee是讚的, 大方的讓

coffee是讚的, 大方的讓客人選擇latte, cappuccino, mocha等, 不另收費.

總括黎講, 可接受的, 但不會有下一次了. 服務始終也佔十分重要的位置, 這方面要多加改進.

GUINNESS的黑啤,相信大部份人都品嚐過,但你對其特色又知多少?它以烤過的大麥芽釀製,顏色深沉而有濃郁的甘香。不說不知,其實它不是黑色的,而是深暗紅色的。

第一道頭盤是Oysters Kilpatrick,焗蠔蠔身爽口新鮮,十分討好,但重點卻是那蕃茄和煙肉煮成的醬汁,辛辣的味道使人食慾大振,最美妙的是這辣度之強,令你不得不喝一口冰凍啤酒,當你一喝這一口黑啤的時候,你會發現,原來GUINNESS黑啤的味道和海鮮的味道很匹配!一杯到肚,辛辣味道沖去,海鮮味道也得以提升,妙哉!

第一道頭盤的辛辣使人很開胃,第二道頭盤則偏向輕盈,在圓形薄切的紅菜頭上鋪上一層fontina cheese,再配以點點的黑醋和蜜糖芥末醬,就是Beetroot Carpaccio。

Fontina cheese軟熟的口感很有芝士的咸香,喝點啤酒,咸咸的芝士味道沒被搶去,反而味道更為突出。翻查了一下,原來fontina cheese較為適合配燒烤過的肉類或松露,可能因為這個原因,配合黑啤味道也很不錯。

主菜時間,Roasted Pigeon是全晚最喜愛菜式之一,鴿子塗上rosemary、thyme、蜜糖等烤製,味道突出之餘,肉質嫩滑彈牙且多汁,可見火喉拿握得非常好。旁邊的甜薯味道也很好,不過個人覺得這道菜和啤酒最談不上邊,因為原味已經非常出色,我實在不想有其他外人阻著我倆在談情說愛…

另一主菜是Dry Aged Irish Rib-eye,鮮嫩美艷的紅色,喚起了人類原始的食慾,怪不得,近年Dry Aged這麼受注目了。

Rib-eye肉質十分軟腍,牛味濃郁也是意料中事,今次較特別之處是不以紅酒相配,而是以GUINNESS配搭,喝一口啤酒,麥香減低了牛肉腥味,情況可能有點像啤酒燉牛肉,言而啤酒的香味使rib-eye味道更豐厚,是一個很不錯的吃法。

旁面的glazed sweetbreads和baby gem lettuce天婦羅也很美味,牛胸腺肉質鮮嫩彈牙沒異味,我差點以為在吃雞肉,配以artichoke puree醬汁,再飽也吃得下。

終於到甜品時間,先嚐一口Peppermint Sorbet,雪葩很酸,薄荷清涼,這個組合,正好可以消消滯,清清味蕾,也為之後的最後舞台作清場、準備。

是晚最有特色的,我會選Guinness Tiramisu。平常的Tiramisu都是用咖啡酒,今天這特色餐單則以GUINNESS和咖啡入饌,還選用了valrhona朱古力。

先以雪葩清清味蕾才吃這個,味道更感香濃,而且濕度很足,酒味不會很重卻又別具風味。說真的,之前幾款美食都是以食物配GUINNESS啤酒,這一款才是真正做到結合,以這甜品作結尾,真的十分精彩。

本想再來一杯啤酒,但為恐不勝酒力,還是來杯Latte好了。

蝙蝠俠是黑夜之神,主宰黑夜,如果蘭桂芳是葛咸城,那GUINNESS會否也一樣,在黑暗的時候挺身而出,來一部The Dark Beer Rises?

題外話/補充資料: 最後是一點小資料,這套餐必需三個工作天前預訂,因為個別菜式準備需時。人數最少四位,最多十位,用餐會在廳房,隔音設備良好,就算外面有多嘈吵也不會受影響。價錢為$760另收加一,包兩杯健力士啤酒。

本人戒牛多年,對呢個BURGER 就只有望的份兒。不過就係講視覺,個BURGER仲大過人塊面,只係望就已經好飽! 不過聽友人們講個BURGER 好JUICY仲有好多CHEESE,係佢地極力推介既ITEM。在我看來一個人吃呢個item,應該會飽死! 仲要配埋薯條,真係抵食之選啦!

試咗個SPECIAL SOUP,用WATERMELON 來做凍湯,係夏天先有既SPECIAL ITEM。入口滑而不膩,不過西瓜味比較重身,未必每個人可以接受到。對於至愛香料既我,反而係種享受。

去年年底第一次到Lily & Bloom,由朋友選址,記得那時她正懷孕,oyster及cherry stone的消滅,就包在我身上。
全場不足10枱,環境濶落好坐。
那次趕着工作,未有開懷大吃,
但這Harvest Selection,$145 buffet salad bar/oyster/cherry stone + soup + coffee 的吸引力,
未夠一星期已吸引我再光顧了,這次人更少,只有3枱。

第二次有備而來,4位點了7打oyster。
雖然不是超鮮甜濃味的生蠔,但$145任點,新鮮,即叫即開,即使上蠔有點慢,但哪裏還有投訴之理?

也怕這個 set lunch終有一天會取消,
不斷推介身邊朋友,並叫他們早日去試,就這樣word of mouth, 部分朋友告訴我他兩星期吃了三次!

眼見人流亦越來越多,年頭到訪時,都幾乎滿坐。

近日較閒,出動約腳午餐聚,可惜屢遇退步食肆。
今天令我失望的對象,就是lily and bloom.

自己心有鬼,每次訂位時,也會問清楚,Harvest Selection Buffet是否仍然健在。
一就坐,就不禁介紹朋友這裏有如何精彩。我倆就點了2打oyseter作剪綵。
點菜時,waitress給了我驚訝的表情。今時今日的服務態度


上蠔時,我也不禁表示驚訝,1打蠔內,有過半數的大細小過我的手指甲!
朋友說,“都好新鮮,細D唔緊要啦!”

兩個女仔只顧說話,吃至中尾段再提議:“不如來多2打!”
waitress又給了我驚訝的表情,說,每人只可以點1打生蠔。

電話訂位時確認過;
menu亦是以前的那一張;
不知何時哪裏的新規矩。

昨天的質素:限你每人1打的buffet, 即開,新鮮,過半數都比檸檬細隻:

以我們多次光顧的食量,她將之加價或取消絕不出奇;
怕蝕就不要以“buffet”招徠;
或索性將生蠔剔除;
限制每位1打的buffet, 及比指甲更細的生蠔,
會否有失自己的面子呢?!

因果循環,Bloom的下場,大家拭目以待。

坐在餐廳感覺良好,休閒兼舒適,又播放輕快的音樂,令人壓力全減,相約聚會這裡是好地方,我們點了沙律吧自助餐,有生蠔和三文魚很新鮮,生蠔即叫即拆,所以要等下,洗手間記得要去下,值得參觀,是餐廳重要景點,

Was looking for a place to have a nice lunch in Central with the girlfriend, and Bloom came to mind. Arriving at the restaurant, service was slightly on the disappointing end, as it took them quite a few minutes to find my reservation, and once seated, the waiters/waitresses did not seem to be too happy the whole time. We quickly chose the 3 course set lunch, which includes a complimentary drink, and both chose the salad bar buffet for our appetizers. The oysters, poached shrimp and smoked salmon were quite fresh, while the elk salad was done quite well. There was also a flavored spinach that I made a second trip for. The rest of the selections were as expected, nothing that blew my mind, but was all decent. Other selections included a sausage and pees salad, truffle flavored eggs, caesar salad, a potato salad, pasta salad and cold cuts. (3/5)

Next after the appetizer salad bar, came the soup for the lunch. Today's soup was a Cream of Wild Mushroom. This was very well done, with many soft bits of mushroom in the soup. The cream flavor was strong, but soup was quite liquid. Was very pleased with this. (5/5)

For main courses, we selected the Braised Ox-tail and the Truffle Aioli Burger. The ox-tail was quite good, served hot and flavored well in a tomato based sauce. The burger came in a generous portion, but was a tad on the dry side though, and could have done with a little bit more of the Truffle Aioli sauce. The fries on the side were quite well down, crispy on the skin, and soft in the middle. (3/5)

Lunch ended with our dessert selection, a Croissant bread pudding with peanut butter fudge, and an Apple Pie. The apple pie was good, but the honorable mention is the bread pudding. The Croissant on top of the bread pudding added a chewier texture to the whole dessert, and the addition of the peanut butter fudge with the usual vanilla sauce made for a very interesting flavoring. Definitely recommend this. (5/5)

Overall was quite happy with lunch, and for those who do not want to go full-out and have a 3 course lunch, most of the ala carte selections are priced around $150-$200, and you can also just have the salad bar at $160 (approximate, cannot remember the price). Will most likely come back to Bloom again. Great value for money.

it's drink organized and treated by promoted colleagues!The decoration of the restaurant is a bit fancy, modern but classical. All the table setting is in casual and comfortable way. With light music, it's place easy for mingle, hangout and chat. There's semi-open room at the end of the lounge. To reserve for the room, there's min spending of $3000 but exempted if more than 25 guests. Colleagues choose to organize large group to waive the min spending, which turned out to be unwise strategy. Coc

No virgin cocktail on the menu but can tailor made upon request. I got virgin mohito, flavor not bad but just too much ice. Drink list has not much variety.

Snack food quality is average. Tried fried chips, American style. fried squid/chicken is slightly better but too oily.

Service is a bit chaos. I waited almost 20min to wait my drink and has no drink at hand for the toast (a bit awkward). What's more, the waiter/waitress just took away my drink when I finished just half even without asking me, which forced me to order 2nd drink. Ridiculous.

公司christmas lunch係呢度食一行去 俾個咁特別既裝修吸引上一層坐低食野 先黎頭盤buffect生蠔即叫即開ham, 三文魚, 沙律都好新鮮食左三轉 好好味 都已經飽左主菜揀左rip eye好juicynice nice!!!食完去個洗手間洗手盤係一個噴水池形好特別 原來都係一個必去地方好relex 好nice既地方like!!!!!

朋友試過BLOOM dinner 感覺不錯於是介紹我到BLOOM食lunch。最初抱著嘗試的心態試一試,想不到有意外的驚喜! 從LKF TOWER 6樓經同一集團經營的LILY酒吧落一層往BLOOM,整個感覺好似走入VINTAGE 既世界一樣。姑勿論食物的質素,只談高尚的格調,已令整個食物體驗提升﹗BLOOM 在Lunch特別提供一項叫harvest selection的buffet, 問過餐廳經理 harvest selection 是挑選季節性食材,以buffet形式提供: asparagus, ham, smoked salmon, oyster, salad, shrimp..etc. 一百幾十元的價錢,任食oyster, ham 及salmon,三樣我最喜爰的食物,對我來說簡直值回票價,而且唔駛等就已經可以即刻出去攞嘢食,對於只有一小時既上班族來說,可以有更多時間慢慢享受食物。若果嫌harvest selection 的選擇太普遍,大可以另外order a-la carte menu 或加多二百幾蚊要多個three course lunch!最後side order 咗一客c

最後side order 咗一客creme brulee,少許鹹味係面,令甜味更出! 口感好smooth, 係必食dessert!!!!!

朋友side order咗一個crab salad 同fried quail and corn bread. fried quail & corn bread係另一切食推介,又香又鬆,回味無窮!

生日飯選在這裡吃是貪新鮮的。一出電梯, 就有一位漂亮的小姐負責帶位。 樓上 (6/F) 是酒吧 - Lily, 樓下 (5/F) 才是用餐的地方 - Bloom。 沿途上, 侍應們都不停跟我們 say hi, 感覺良好。 這裡外國人比較多, 侍應及餐廳經理也是外國人, 連 menu 也是全英文的。 其實在這種地方吃飯, 對本人來說是有點不自在的。餐廳裝修很特別, 有點舊舊的感覺 (其實最特別是那個洗手間 .. 哈哈 .. 我們居然在裡面不停拍照 ~), 情調很好, 就算客多也不覺得嘈。Menu 只有一張單面 A4 紙, 但我們都分別選了頭盤, 主菜及甜品。頭盤是海鮮拼盤, 有龍蝦, 鮑魚, 蜆, 大蝦, 蠔。 平時我最怕吃海鮮, 但今次吃得最多就是我了, 真的很美味, 鮮甜。 還有 Crab Salad。主菜有羊, 牛, 豬, 魚。 第一好味是羊, 第二好味是牛, 相對地, 豬扒因要全熟, 吃起來比較乾, 不夠羊及牛多汁。 至於魚, 朋友都大讚很滑。 伴菜也被全掃一空。 特別是豬扒的伴菜 - 紅椰菜, 酸酸的, 跟豬扒一起吃, 化解了油膩感。甜品也只有幾個選擇, 我們選了3個: 藍莓

主菜有羊, 牛, 豬, 魚。 第一好味是羊, 第二好味是牛, 相對地, 豬扒因要全熟, 吃起來比較乾, 不夠羊及牛多汁。 至於魚, 朋友都大讚很滑。 伴菜也被全掃一空。 特別是豬扒的伴菜 - 紅椰菜, 酸酸的, 跟豬扒一起吃, 化解了油膩感。

甜品也只有幾個選擇, 我們選了3個: 藍莓新地, 芒果拿破侖, 朱古力撻。 朋友說藍莓最好味, 酸酸的, 很清新; 芒果拿破侖伴碟的雪芭很美味; 朱古力撻很香濃, 不過卻很滯, 幸好是大家 share 的。
