之前來過幾次, 但都是 lunch,今次, "番桌" dinner ~看中了 a la carte menu 上的 escargot, 故捨 set 而取 a la carte 也 ~1) amuse bouche ~2) feuillete of escargots ~3) sauteed jumbo scallop with lobster bisque 4) trio de chef escargots 一般, 反而 feuillete 做得不錯, 層次足、質感鬆脆、不油膩 ~scallop 是名副其實的 jumbo, 且煎得夠香, 外脆肉嫩 ~以 lobster bisque 伴之, 味道很 match ~伴碟的 mashed potato 加了一點點 black truffle 與 risotto,份外加添了菌香與嚼勁!

之前來過幾次, 但都是 lunch,
今次, "番桌" dinner ~

看中了 a la carte menu 上的 escargot,
故捨 set 而取 a la carte 也 ~

1) amuse bouche ~
2) feuillete of escargots ~
3) sauteed jumbo scallop with lobster bisque
4) trio de chef

escargots 一般, 反而 feuillete 做得不錯,
層次足、質感鬆脆、不油膩 ~

scallop 是名副其實的 jumbo,
且煎得夠香, 外脆肉嫩 ~
以 lobster bisque 伴之, 味道很 match ~
伴碟的 mashed potato 加了一點點 black truffle 與 risotto,
份外加添了菌香與嚼勁!

用餐日期...已忘了...那天中午, 又去中環覓食 ~今次選了這裡, 不錯也, 一定會"番桌" ~食神尤其喜愛其sausage, 好吃的, 不花巧也自當好吃 ~

在soho第一次在呢條街開餐,睇OR呢度好似幾得,haha然得店子細細但入面幾簡單comfortable,幾有好感3個人appetizer有黑松露炒蛋 - 熱熱的蛋帶出松露的香,最穩陣又好食焗蝸牛 - 牛油很香,蝸牛少少的,都不錯兔仔pate - 兔肉是偏濃和硬的,這種凍食造法很對味main courses紅酒汁sole fillet - 魚味差D,但個sauce跟底部的rissotto很正澳洲西冷 - 做到medium rare,不錯,但肉味差D,主要是品種問題,煎的wok亦應不是勁熱令肉味流失,但法國菜有覩sauce頂住都好食的,真要食扒去steak house 了春雞 - 最正,好soft好滑又香口,加埋偏開胃的sauce,好味見對辦,就order埋甜品creme brulee + chocolate cake + cheese platter coffee 點少得lunch set 2 courses $148, 3 courses $178 , 我要了杯紅酒soho 算唔平,但正朋友無啦啦請,早知飲多兩杯

澳洲西冷 - 做到medium rare,不錯,但肉味差D,主要是品種問題,煎的wok亦應不是勁熱令肉味流失,但法國菜有覩sauce頂住都好食的,真要食扒去steak house 了


春雞 - 最正,好soft好滑又香口,加埋偏開胃的sauce,好味


見對辦,就order埋甜品

creme brulee + chocolate cake + cheese platter

coffee 點少得

lunch set 2 courses $148, 3 courses $178 , 我要了杯紅酒

soho 算唔平,但正

Before commenting on the food, I'd like to make a little note on the booking experience I had.Booked a table at La Terrasse a few days in advance, the person who answered the phone (sounded like a French person) was polite and friendly.I went there the day before and asked about brining our own champagne, the staff (an Asian bloke, not the one who answered the phone) said "We charge $200 cockage!" I went there the day before and asked about brining our own champagne, the staff (an Asian bloke, not the one who answered the phone) said "We charge $200 cockage!" Hmmm... Okay!

About the enviornment:
We had a table in the outdoor area. Although the weather wasn't brilliant (a bit wet and rainy), the atmosphere was pretty good. Only disadvantage of sitting outside is passerbys can walk next to the outdoor sitting area...

It took the staff (the Asian guy) a while to come take our order. Maybe because there was only one person when we were there and we were sitting outside. Anyways! We ordered some wine and starters are pate and foie gras; main courses are lamb w/ light curry sauce and beef tenderloin.

Other staff (two or three more, perhaps) didn't start working/ didn't report duty until 7:30 or so. I think if you would like to have better service, it's best to have dinner there a little later.

Starter: <-- The presentations were really good
PATE
There were two types of pate, one of them has stronger poultry flavour, and the other one was a bit plain.
FOIE GRAS
Simple normal pan fried foie gras, but I've had better ones. A little disappointed.

Main <-- Really appreciate they thoroughly warmed the plates, the food stayed warm the entire meal and the plates were still warm after we finished the food!!!
LAMB W/ LIGHT CURRY SAUCE
It was surprisingly good, the sauce was very mild and brings out the lamb flavour. Very nice combination.

BEEF TENDERLOIN
Super tender beef. It's bigger than it looks (feel very full afterwards despite it looked a bit small). The harsh brown and vegetables on the side were very nice too.

Dessert
CREME BRULEE
It's quite nice and fairly big in portion, enough for two to share if you had a fairly full meal.

Service wasn't very good, we had to pour our wine and champagne ourselves. Perhaps that's because the restaurant was quite full that night.

上次去域多利監獄參觀已經見到呢間餐廳, 尋晚終於去試一試. 原來餐廳好似好細入面仲有個開放既露台, 環境好雅致.我見到個menu已經流口水, 有我最愛既Snail in White Cream Sauce做頭盆, 主菜係我常叫既Seabass, 味道與賣相都非常了得!!! 而老公亦好興奮地叫左佢致愛法式洋蔥湯及燒羊架. 個湯好多料, 極甜!!! 雖然我唔食羊, 但試過一D都唔"蘇", 配埋個汁都算係一流. 老公話其他餐廳只會比D 現成薄荷醬, 但呢度既汁係個大廚調配的, very delicious.至於我食既Snail就無太特別, 但個白汁煮得好creamy, 一食就知唔係一般開粉槳既白汁可比. 另外主菜既Seabass煎得外皮好脆, 入面既魚又keep得好滑. 心諗呢餐都算有90分之作!! 點知食埋甜品超水準既Cream Brulee同Warm Chocolate, 一定要比100分!!!!!! 食到一間甘有誠意既餐廳, 真係好滿足;-)

I and my buddies spent a good evening at La Terrasse tonight. Food is superb there starting with a drink of Royal Kia then follow with escargots, onion soup, baked bitter cabbage with goat cheese and asparagus as starter (everything is served hot and great presentation!!); the main dish of foie gras, duck breast, fish and mussel in wine & garlic sauce ... the whole meal is spectacular and it was just $2,000 for four of us, with delicate dessert too (the creme brulee.... folks... a must-try ther

I\'ve been in SPOON, CAPRICE this top French restaurants; and I highly recommend La Terrasse as you can\'t beat the food with such reasonable price and place though you may need to do some exercise to walk up there ... but it\'s worth!!

Four of us went there two weeks ago and were surprised that the food has improved so much from a few years back. The foie gras terrine is definitely the best in town. The escargots were good but nothing special. The surprise was the coq au vin which we thought would be one of their signature dishes turned out to be too overcooked. Although the sauce was good the meat was a little dry. The lamb loin was very tender and more than compensated for disapointment in the coq au vin. However the service

The manager was actually rather rude which is a pity given that this could otherwise be one of the finer establishments in town that provides an atmosphere akin to some European restaurants. Although we liked the food, we will never go back. At this price, there is no reason why you have to put up with poor service. It's probably also a reason why this restaurant is never full. And because of the poor service and the impolite staff, I have to give it a low score. What a pity!!

Every one of us had ordered a three course lunch, due to our straight compliance standard at work, my colleague had refrained me from ordering wine
which was a bit of shame, a good french meal without wine just isn't same.....>_<~

Anyway, for appertizer I had ordered an escartgo salad, the escartgo was nice and warm served with lettuce and a cream sauce, for main I had an baked italian tomato stuffed with mince beef, for desert my choice was a crme bule I should have tried the Warm Chocolate Cake, al my colleague orderd the warm chocolate cake, which certainly looks good.

I'll definitely visit La Terrasse again for lunch, and probably dinner next week ^_^

One course $ 98, Two courses $128, Three courses $155 已經Includes Tea/ Coffee or soft drink + 10% Service Charge餐\\\\\\\前之\\\\\\\"Appetizers\\\\\\\", 我要了一客薄牛肉salad, 份量不小, 十分新鮮. 非常美味. Main 呢, 我就order 了, 串燒牛肉, 都值得一讚, 買相精美, 我都不捨得吃. 不過, 最好食的還是Dessert, 經大廚介紹, 叫了一客Chocolate Moelleux - Warm chocolate cake, 嘩嘩! 好好味, 入口即融. 他還教我將cake 和ice-cream mix 一齊吃, 味道果然不同, 不會太甜. 最後, 我咪叫埋單, HK$400.00 有找, 法國餐\\\\\\\廳來說, 真的十分OK!

I and my friend went there few days ago. Haven't tried the excellent french food. It was the best. Sole fillet with simon mousse was very soft and tender. Angus beef was very special too. Food is good decoration. Head chef is very friendly and full of passion on food.For the dessert, my most favourite is "Floating Island" which is light and not too sweet. On the other hand, chocoloate cake "心太軟" is the best from other french restaurants in HK. For the price, it is around $350 per head for dinner

前兩天是我的生日, 朋友給我一個驚喜, 帶我去了一間好鬼佬的法國restaurant, 我覺得大廚煮得好有誠意, 賣相很好, 味道also very good. 午餐還有set lunch, 大約100, 已經有頭盤, 主菜和甜品.值得一試!!!

A so so restaurant in SOHO area.environment - we had our seatings at the so-called patio. but later on found there's in fact just an area by an alley. Hence, you will find people (and stray cats) passing by while you are eating. We were assigned to seat at a corner, which is next to a pipe..and we found our bags' bottom (placed on the floor) were all wet after the dinner. : (food - limited choices. They only serve some 8 appetizer, and ~6 main courses. I had the "cake of seafood" ($195) but

but while we were eating, people (foreigners) at the table next to us ARE smoking. And nobody in the restaurants seems to have problems with it. So disappointed.

Dont think we will return to this place again. But if you are planning to go, suggest to take the indoor seats.

同食友又有事相討,今次由佢推介,不知在那裡找到這間舖頭,果然不錯,連我在這裡蒲了幾年都走了眼,果然是飲食界中人。星期三的下午,來的時候餐廳只得我們一檯客人,吃到走也是包場,看來是地點的問題。兩道菜的午餐,盛惠98蚊包飲品,中等價錢。頭盤選擇不少,看樣子亦對辦,我們就叫了生牛肉carparcio及黑松露炒蛋,主菜的幾個選擇中,我要了店主的握介烤鴨胸,食友的則是燒西冷。這裡沒有免費的水供應,所以叫了sparkling一支。餐前有麵包一籃,熱熱的,味道則一般;頭盤賣相一點不馬虎,我的carparcio都﹝如圖示﹞幾吸引。生牛肉片鮮嫩,夾上巴馬芝士片及醮了點欖油醋汁,是一個不錯的開胃菜;食友的黑松露炒蛋都幾好,不過用來炒蛋的,當然不是貴價的黑松露,是普通菇菌而已。如頭盤,主菜都賣相精美。鴨胸煎得剛好,帶一點點生,保留了嫩滑的口感。伴碟的紅蘿蔔茸及菠菜茸不錯,墊底的烤薯菜都好味,整體感覺不錯;食友的烤西冷明顯是煎的,他要了medium raw但看來不太像,吃剩了一半,看來是不太好吃。兩位女侍應及主理人只招呼我們一檯客,當然是照顧得不錯。埋單由食友請了,真的要說聲多謝。也是一個不錯的吃午飯地方。
