A nice restaurant for dating and celebrating anniversary. A romantic setup with great view of the victoria habor, especially at night. The scenery is beautiful and we reserved the corner table by the windows (on both sides). We can see the HK side very clearly.To start with, tried their oysters and there are a great range of choices. Ordered four oysters each (from US, Japan, Scotland etc.). around HKD 60 each except for the Japanese one cost around HKD 120 each. Good taste overall althoug

A nice restaurant for dating and celebrating anniversary. A romantic setup with great view of the victoria habor, especially at night. The scenery is beautiful and we reserved the corner table by the windows (on both sides). We can see the HK side very clearly.

To start with, tried their oysters and there are a great range of choices. Ordered four oysters each (from US, Japan, Scotland etc.). around HKD 60 each except for the Japanese one cost around HKD 120 each. Good taste overall although not necessary value for money.

Alaska crab leg is quite delicious especially I like the butter sauce. The fish (seabass) taste okay but with a lot of small bones. Onion Soup was good and tasty, love it!!!


Ordered the seafood pot for the main course, quite a lot of seafood inside, very tastly especially soaked in thick lobster bisque.

Service was good in general except it was difficult to get hold of the waiters at times. Friendly staff - they also helped us to take photos (quite a number), appreciate the effort. The waiter even suggested the angle that we should take good photos etc.

The great view, the piano music, the good food, the friendly staff made the night a memorable evening. I will certainly come back again.

海天一色的景致一望無際,眺望維港轉四分三個圈;白色的舞台上,悠揚的爵士樂輕輕奏出,彷彿置身仙境,懸浮半空。圓形水滴拼貼成天花,珊瑚沙發坐落於波浪地毯,為蠔吧餐廳營造出一個水底世界。餐廳的名字叫「Ambrosia」,即神仙的美食,生蠔、海鮮、魚子醬,加上新派法式美饌,相信任何凡人也難以抗拒。

Fine Dining 真是Fine Dining....這頓晚餐吃了接近4個小時。本來打算帶男朋友來嘗試上一次的Seafood Platter Set。。。豈料。。。promotion完了。。。所以。。。有點失望。。。沒有了$980的兩人餐。幸好餐廳的人很好,向我們介紹了這一期的special。原來是我男朋友最喜歡的法國枕頭蟹。。。錯有錯著。。。雖然是比預期的貴了$100,套餐是$1080,但是好像比上一次的更加抵。枕頭蟹的膏豐富,實在的質感非常好,蟹本身的甘甜味道配一點點的檸檬汁,餘味很清新。吃蟹的感覺很好。。。慢慢的吃,可以跟男朋友多談一點,沒有像平常的匆匆忙忙,只是吃而沒有交流。我們點了一瓶白酒來配蟹跟蠔,剛好是鋼琴彈奏的時間,氣氛太好了。在這個時候,我們偷偷地聽到隔壁的男生向他女朋友求婚。。。好感動!感動歸感動,生蠔來了。每人兩隻,少吃多滋味。其實我吃完了蟹已經有一點點飽的感覺。蠔湯很特別,我在別的地方沒有試過這種湯。濃湯好像lobster bisque,不過卻沒有那麼濃。可是沒有見到蠔,所以問經理,然後大廚突然過來跟我們講,蠔是預先打爛,然後用來做了湯底,怪不得吃的時候好像

原來是我男朋友最喜歡的法國枕頭蟹。。。錯有錯著。。。


雖然是比預期的貴了$100,套餐是$1080,但是好像比上一次的更加抵。

枕頭蟹的膏豐富,實在的質感非常好,蟹本身的甘甜味道配一點點的檸檬汁,餘味很清新。吃蟹的感覺很好。。。慢慢的吃,可以跟男朋友多談一點,沒有像平常的匆匆忙忙,只是吃而沒有交流。

我們點了一瓶白酒來配蟹跟蠔,剛好是鋼琴彈奏的時間,氣氛太好了。在這個時候,我們偷偷地聽到隔壁的男生向他女朋友求婚。。。好感動!

蠔湯很特別,我在別的地方沒有試過這種湯。濃湯好像lobster bisque,不過卻沒有那麼濃。可是沒有見到蠔,所以問經理,然後大廚突然過來跟我們講,蠔是預先打爛,然後用來做了湯底,怪不得吃的時候好像有沙的感覺,原來那些就是blended的蠔蓉。要大廚過來跟我們解析,真的很不好意思,也難得他們是那麼認真。

牛扒跟上次吃的感覺有點不一樣。這次牛扒是很豐厚,差不多有3-4寸厚。這次覺得外層很脆,grill 的香味很誘惑。可是只吃了3/4塊。因為太飽了。

雖然我們沒有點甜品,但是在差不多的時間聽到鋼琴奏起了生日歌,應該是有人在這裡慶祝生日啦。。。

這個晚上真的很熱鬧。

最搞笑的是,我們沒有看到原來每人只加$120就可以有一杯紅酒和一杯白酒。。。太笨了。。。

iSqaure的格局給我第六感:食肆質素普通。那電梯交叉上落的環境,相信不曾在高格調的商場看到吧。今天跟自己說,或許偶有佳作。看過28樓的風景,不好吃也不會罵「回水」。蠔和蟹等冷盤,新鮮度、海水味道和溫度最為緊要。這些Ambrosia都做到。店員推介Maxican Pacific ,吃下的感覺很普通。Blue Swimmer Crab 由西澳洲運到,海水鮮味滲入蟹肉,但蟹兒再成長一點才烹調更好。如果天然藍蟹都是少膏少肉的話,Ambrosia大可考慮City Super 售$250一隻的加拿大睡蟹,藍蟹的蟹膏只屬其十分之一。驚喜的是House Wine - Semillon跟蠔和藍蟹都很配,散發出清甜的白桃。叫只懂得依書以Chablis配蠔的朋友多一個選擇。 (按:忘了筆錄 House Wine的詳細資料,見諒)蠔湯和西冷不詳說,沒舍特別。如果你曾嘗過Su Casa的蠔湯,更千萬不要試這家製的。甜品為兩個多小時的飯局製造驚喜。以拿破崙作餅底即焗,蘋果薄切提供清甜味道。是唯一推介。以靚景、高級食材、上佳服務公式打造出來的餐廳,Ambrosia算不錯。

上星期去了Ambrosia食晚飯,因為朋友間呢期玩搵似貴但抵吃的。終於搵到Ambrosia嘅海鮮拼盤餐。海鮮冷盤: 鮮海蠔,加拿大紅蟹腳,澳洲鮮鮑魚,法國龍蝦仔及大海蝦蠔有脆身的也有creamy的,好好配。鮑魚質感比較彈,幾好。龍蝦仔同海蝦簡直是我的favourite。肉身非常爽脆,蝦殼又唔癡蝦身,證明好新鮮同chill凍d蝦的時間剛剛好。法式海皇湯: 帶子、蝦、青口、蜆好濃味道,有少少像我在法國喝的湯,我想算是traditional呱。。。主菜:炭燒澳洲M5和牛肉眼扒配青椒燒汁其實只食了一半。。。因為已經很飽了。 扒的外面有點脆身,裏面肉很嫩滑同肉汁分量恰如其分,就算食medium rare都不會太多血。甜品: 芒果拿破崙餅不知道。。因為真的吃不下。全部倆人分量。。。好飽。。。估不到只系$980/2people. 再加開了一支白酒。 加10%。。。好似大概埋單$13XX.超抵。。。因為吃的時候仲有270度無敵維港景色 & Symphony show...compare to the similar ones in TST...this is highly recommended.

與半島Felix,s差不多成同一水平線,如非半島新翼隔著,整個維港夜景會一覽無遺.不過,這一晚的夜景,也很美麗,餐廳環境優雅,鳥瞰尖沙咀街景,有種大地在我腳下之氣勢,臨窗品嘗著生蠔,誠為人生一大快事也.這夜食客不多,近乎包場,感覺更加浪漫.

走出去圓形的生蠔吧,看看是日有什麼生蠔,雖則當今不是吃歐州蠔的最佳季節,但是仍會以歐州蠔為是夜的主力.當晚就有十多款生蠔供應,有美國,愛爾蘭,澳州,法國,日本等品種.個人對美國貨一向麻麻,但也來個Cherry Stone clams,愛爾蘭就來個Donnegal Bay,其他的是Scottish Rock,White pearl, Gillardeau, 同Belon 000.總共六款.

蘇格蘭搖滾味道咸鮮,肉質爽,Donnegal Bay比較稔身一點,帶有海水味,Gillardeau肉質較豐滿,入口細滑,蠔味濃,White pearl同樣蠔味重,肉質偏爽,車厘蜆味道爽甜,記得首次接觸Belon,就是在倫敦Harrod,s內的美食廣場,二十鎊半打.想起,又想吃了.是晚遇上Belon 000,三個000的Belon當然不是王者之級,但蠔味是全夜多款蠔之中最重,首先是品嘗到蠔的鮮味,同爽脆的感覺,接著便有一股金屬味,留在口腔內不散,餘韻猶長.如果想一口氣吃下一打,一張金牛也不夠.在香港吃生蠔,始終不是便宜.除非你的視野,還是停留在三四星酒店的自助餐上.

生蠔之後便正式開餐.Set Dinner三百多塊.在地段來說是超值,不過食物方面也要有水準才可,假如在環境一流的地方,吃著水準九流的菜式,就算事後對住條北京道"天降甘霖"也徒然,到時再沒有昂首向天的君臨天下氣勢,只會低頭不語,感嘆英雄氣短.

Fresh clam with shallot, garlic and white wine sauce,用白酒煮出來的蜆,鮮味突顯.蜆肉鮮甜爽口,沒有一點沙或異味.Frog les in garlic butter and parsley是田雞腿,用蒜茸牛油煎出來的田雞腿,份量當然不是天香樓的"機因突變田雞腿",細小的田雞腿,肉質鮮嫩,帶有濃香的牛油味.Cepe wild mushroom soup with truffle croutons,是黑松露野菇湯,湯底質感濃凋,野菇香味濃郁,而黑松露味亦突出.

意粉有Penne with arrabiata in Italian style,論Penne是有Al dente感覺,不過嫌個醬汁略咸一點.當Baked black cod with baby spinach & mushroom一上,見到個煲是用上Le Creuset,誠意可嘉,千幾銀一個煲,對我來說是天方夜談,但這品牌的廚具,外表美觀又實用,難怪受到眾熱愛煮食的人愛戴.說回個焗黑銀鱈魚,用料簡單,只是一些火腿粒,菠菜,磨菇,來與鱈魚一起焗,黑鱈魚的魚味突出,肉質吹得彈破,嬌嫩可人,煲內清甜的汁更可當湯喝.Grilled tenderloin肉質軟稔,火喉掌握得不錯,但燒得不夠香.

最後的甜品,是用Bailey,s做出來的生日蛋糕,在維港夜景前,對著生日蛋糕許願,更收到我估不到的限量版球衣,整夜的感覺實在太妙了.回顧這一年來最大得著,就是遇上了你.這一夜有你在旁,暖得我心也在醉,情似落霞在飛.

你是我今生唯一傳奇,謝謝.

A friend was at Ambrosia a week ago, and he said everything was exceptional, but as usual I don't believe everything they say. My husband really wanted to try, so we went to try it out. Friend said the oysters were excellent but again I wasn't expecting much. We ask our server (Kelvin) to recommend some oyster to us, he created a oysters tasting menu for us, ranging from the lightest taste in oysters to the strongest. Having good food and a million dollar view at a reasonable price, can't ask for more. Definitely can try, don't forget their ginger souffle.

龍蝦都鮮甜,但係都係過火,令肉有D"UN"...不過呢個個牛汁油做得幾好,由於肉太少,最後要用西頁食海鮮既方法食佢D腳仔....不過呢間野個感覺都唔係好HIGH CLASS,所以都食得好舒服既。
去到甜品....真係擇唔落手...所以去左第二間食....
最後一提,呢度既酒都OK,介紹既紅白酒價錢合宜味道都襯D食物,所以都係好ENJOY既一晚!

Medium Rare<--that's what I ordered.  最後是9成熟. 我真是為之一驚. 我從來沒有expect香港餐廳可真的煮出Medium Rare, 這個我明白, 亦接受. 但, medium rare跟9成熟, 是不是差得有點過份?完全反應Chef 的不用心. 
肉汁- 冇; 肉味- 冇.

Bill check- around $600 per person. 已經是2星期前, 我以為我可以忘記這次不好的經驗.(that's why i normally didn't write critics) BUT 這是人生唯一一次覺得被騙.

知不知道 $600 per person 可以食到 很多高級餐館 such as 4 seasons 既Caprice. 既然你有這份膽識去charge我 $600 per person, 你不用給我$600的回報, 不但不會如此吧.

oh well, 如果大家只食 view, then you SHOULD go!! the view is amazing, BUT is this the only thing you are looking for?!

What can I say? Another Oyster Bar? Well, Ambrosia is no ordinary oyster bar. I recently had a chance to go there and enjoyed a fine dining experience.First of all, the location. With Ambrosia located right BEHIND Sheraton, it will be tough for diners to choose between the popular Oyster Bar and Ambrosia. What can I say? Another Oyster Bar?
Well, Ambrosia is no ordinary oyster bar. I recently had a chance to go there and enjoyed a fine dining experience.
First of all, the location. With Ambrosia located right BEHIND Sheraton, it will be tough for diners to choose between the popular Oyster Bar and Ambrosia.
Parking is a pain when it comes to iSquare and the only location that I think is closest is the Wilson Parking on Middle Road.
So when you pay above 500+ / person, with NO Parking nearby it can be a pain. But for great food, I am sure there are people out there who will go the length to experience it.
This is an Oyster Bar so I will start off with Oysters. The selection is typical ranging from American / European / Japanese. I had 5 different types: Tasmanian, Smokey Bay, Giladeau (maybe wrong spelling), Fine de Claire, and can't remember the last one. The oyster were clean and fresh. The serving was done properly as none of the saltiness to the oysters were lost.
I also tried a cooked oyster with bacon. I'm not a big fan of cooked oysters as I tend to feel they lose some of their flavor but it was done exquisitely. The oyster was not overly cooked yet hot in the mouth. That is hard to control.
Before I do move on to the cooked food, I must say that although Ambrosia is an Oyster Bar, the chef and some of their staff did come from various European restaurants so the cooked food will have a Mediterranean Style. If you do see my photos, please note that the proportions are halved because I had these to share.
200g Mussels. The mussels were cooked in a white wine sauce. A typical way of cooking mussels. The most important thing here was that the mussels were not over cooked. There wasn't any sand in the mussels making this very enjoyable. This dish, resembles something that you would get in Agnes B Loggia in IFC or in Sky Bar Langham Place.
Linguini w/ Lobster and Zucchini. This is a very bold dish and for people who are not use to heavy flavored pasta the taste may be overwhelming. I personally liked it because the chef used a mix of tomato paste, lobster brain, vegetables to create a very special pasta. Usually with linguini, its either done with a light tomato sauce or cream sauce. The tomato flavor tends to be too subtle and does not bring out the flavor of the seafood. But with Ambrosia's version, the bold flavor is balanced with the zucchini making this a very memorable dish. This dish, I believe, is a variation of what I tried at Da Domenico. Their version is with shrimp, so the flavor is slightly different, although I must say I would be surprised if the chef at Ambrosia didn't use any shrimp in the sauce for this dish.
Seafood Pot. By looking at the way this is served and the pot used. I knew this dish would be very powerful. A normal seafood soup maybe served in a porcelain bowl. However some of the flavor and intensity may be lost the process of moving the soup from the pot to the bowl. This on the other hand is served directly from the pot and therefore retains all the essence of the seafood used. The seafood is top notch. Lobster is Australian and not Boston. There was clams / prawns / mussels / and I believe was dover sole. One thing to note is that the soup is made separately and that the seafood in the pot was later added. But the flavor of the soup was intense. Again, the chef likes to use the brain's of the seafood adding a very bold flavor to the dishes. I recall seeing something similar in Agnes B La Loggia, but that was with a wine wine sauce. This on the other hand uses a tomato based sauce similar to what would be found in the Lobster Linguini.
Ribeye. I ordered a Rib Eye steak as well just to try some of their meat on the menu. The steak was only 8 oz and my first impressions after taking a bite was that this is a typical steak that one would find at say Steakhouse, Oyster Bar, Agnes B. Nothing really "wowed" me and was expecting this for the price of the restaurant. I must say that while this steak proportion was halved, the control of how much the steak was cooked was not done perfect. My half was slightly over cooked and the edges were what I considered medium - well while my partner's steak was rare - medium rare. THIS STEAK IS NOT EVEN THICK! When it was served I was pretty sure that the chef had halved the proportion before char grilling the steak because all edges were sealed. This area I think would need the most improvement of all the cooked food I had that night.
Hazel Nut Souffle. I opted for something light and chose the Souffle. Nothing spectacular, the most important part was that the Souffle was done properly and maintained a good shape and texture. When it was served, I did feel that it was not "Hot" but was more like warm. You can order this with ginger or hazelnut flavor. The hazelnut that we had did not have much flavor. I would have preferred a stronger nut flavor, the one we had was more of a light cream sauce.
Coffee. Something that I always have before ending off a meal is Coffee. The coffee that I originally had was not done properly. I make my own coffee at own with fresh beans and when I taste coffee at a restaurant, I know when the beans have gone stale. The first cup that was served to me tasted like brown hot water. I immediately told the waiter and they kindly replaced the coffee for me. The 2nd cup was much improved. I understand that these types of restaurants don't served coffee very often, but if you put coffee styled drinks in your desert menu, it is expected that the beans get changed frequently in order to give the coffee its best flavor.
Whew long story cut short. This place has a mixture of above average food. The service from the waiters are all top notch. The wine list is currently lacking with most of the wines between 400 - 1000 HKD. The list is not long but do contain some "must haves."
If you want to go to a place where Mediterranean / French / Italian all in one place, this would be a place to recommend. But if you are a person who enjoys driving to a dinner when paying over 500+/ person. You may want to think again.
