This joint is a wonderful little find in the middle of Sai Wan Ho. Crispy yet tender, top quality chicken. All artfully prepared, cooked and served.The secret is probably in the sauces in which the meat marinates - savoury yet sweet and immensely umami, without being blunt. The chicken is generously layered on top of a huge portion of fried rice. Not just any fried rice - fried rice with generous chunks of sweet pork. The fried rice would be good enough alone - it’s fried in the home-made sauce

The owner is incredibly generous with frequent (and huge!) free samples. Whilst I do very much love the char siu (made with true pork cheek), the chicken holds a special place in my heart.
It’s been my hidden little late-night delight for several years. Office workers nearby must count their blessings.
I’m told that unfortunately it will be closing on 31 December. I should have visited more often. This is huge shame and a loss to the community.
However, I’m also told it will continue to serve loyal customers with a “cook it yourself” solution. We bought some extra for the weekend...
Thank you for being such a reliable, good and reasonably-priced eat. Not had any thing similar anywhere else.
