這天和同事一起到這裡用膳,看一看餐牌,唯有一句:當奬勵慰勞一下自己。這裡似乎以日式蟹食作招徠,看完餐牌後,我決定玩大點,來一客高膽固醇的食法(脷伸)。所謂玩大點,就是選了這款「松葉蟹腳肉香蔥吞拿腩馬糞海膽丼」,名字超長~不過一上枱,絶對吸晴;還未入口,其豐富程度已經讓我有滿足感蟹腳肉夠鮮甜,吞拿魚腩攪成蓉再加上碎蟹肉口感不錯,日本飯非常稔口,亦非常飽肚。而所謂「高膽固醇」正是這個生鵪鶉蛋,攪混海膽一起吃夠香滑,不過吃海膽本人還是直接在日本吃比較好吃。聞說鵪鶉蛋膽固醇只是雞蛋的三分之一,不過以體積比較,比例上是很高的,再加上早餐已吃了一只雞蛋,中午再吃它就真的太多了其他配食還有海鮮蒸蛋,夠滑,不錯。(又係蛋)味噌湯:用上了蟹肉碎(不是蟹柳),果然高級一點的日本餐廳用料不同(大鄉里的想法)沙律一般最後還有綠茶雪榚及咖啡。雪榚味道不錯,夠綠茶味,但咖啡就很一般,應該說沒有咖啡香。吃罷真的飽到不得了,雖然價錢略貴,但是頗令人滿意的一餐。

今日同朋友在灣仔秋田食鐵板餐,先上係三文魚籽蒸蛋,蒸蛋外形吸引而且好滑,配上三文魚籽食,既有扑扑脆口感,又有蛋的味道,幾好食。餐湯係大蜆麵豉湯,蜆肉無沙,幾鮮味,麵豉湯唔太咸,幾好飲。而田園沙律就一般味道。主菜是香煎法國鵝肝及美國牛柳粒,法國鵝肝我首先食,幾好食,鵝肝煎得幾香口,保留鵝肝本身味道。但美國牛柳粒就普普通通,煎得過熟,D肉唔淋,而且香蒜味過濃,蓋過牛柳味道。鐵板餐跟秋田炒飯及炒野菜,炒飯炒得粒粒分明,但偏咸,不過配上櫻花蝦,都有D口感。炒野菜就較普通,有椰菜味。最後叫了餐後甜品,紅豆雪糕,有香濃紅豆味,而且雪糕幾滑。整體味道都不過不失。

每個月最少去一次的專門店🤗因為4⃣️個字已代表一切「價廉物美」一直都保持水準的👍裝修已有一段時間,但依然保持整潔👍👍這裡的 set lunch 非常抵食😊先有沙律、清新一下。繼而係魚生(鮮)講完。靚靚嘅蒸蛋放入蛋殼裡,精緻可愛🥚之後係龍蝦湯(內𥚃有龍蝦及蜆,美味)陸續有嚟嘅係燒龍蝦、薄燒牛肉(蔥多好味)蒜香牛柳粒等.....再加櫻花🦐炒飯(成碗飯都係料😝)炒野菜(爽)最後綠茶雪糕(完美)忘了一提,鐵板師傅時有互動👍👍整體服務非常滿意😘

朋友生日, 帶佢食鐵板燒慶生, 之前已經到過尖沙咀分店食過, 好味又有誠意,今次卻完全相反.到達前明明已經訂位, 更申請坐正面枱, 於電話確認話無問題, 但卻安排我們坐側枱, 當時現場係一個客人都沒有, 同返佢地講已經申請正枱, 佢仲要回覆我 (你有申請咩), 服務態度真令人討厭. 餐牌中刺身有四款, 全部用名字已改, 並沒有寫上食材及種類數量, 向店員查詢後, 答左好似無答, 第一款有三文魚加其他, 第二款有海膽,牡丹蝦及其他, 第三款有海膽...最後我地揀左第二款, 上菜後其實係無牡丹蝦, 好彩刺身全部好新鮮好鮮味.鐵板燒方面揀左(熊本)二人餐, 第一道食品, 鵝肝蒸蛋 (過左火喉, 蛋太熟唔夠滑), 有龍蝦 (好新鮮, 可惜廚師落左過多牛油, 完全遮掩左龍蝦的味道), 鮑魚 (好鮮味, 而且火喉剛剛好), 薄燒和牛 (和牛內會包住蔥及蒜片, 我朋友是唔食蔥既, 叫左廚師4,5次先應我地, 明明就坐正佢前面, 而佢就掛住傾計而忽略其他人), 到左最出名既用飯整公仔圖案, 竟然為左方便, 將2枱既客人一齊整同一塊鐵板上, 叫人地點樣影相呢......仲要一直掛住傾計, 我明白需要同客

Lets begin with the service.

The waitress was basically rude to all customers. She was somewhat impatient when taking order and basically was not attentive to any requests.

However, what I witnessed at the restaurant startled me. Another customer sitting across the teppanyaki table requested his table to be cleaned and asked that a dish of raw food that was left behind on his table to be taken away. The waitress did not take away the dish and said it could be cooked later. The chef who just entered the cooking area agreed that it would not be a problem to cook even though he did not know where that dish came from. Not surprisingly, the customer complained of the food hygiene and another waitress who was at the scene reasonably said that it would not be served to him. I could not believe that the waitress and chef decided to cook some leftover on the counter for another customer. It could have been misplaced on his table before the customer arrived but it would still not justify to cook something that could have been contaminated or tampered. 

Now on the taste of the food.
The taste of the food was not bad on reflection but the service was so terrible that no one cared much about the former unfortunately.

第一次幫襯這間日式鐵板燒尊門店。食材非常新鮮,所有海鮮食材都是算用來自日本活海鮮在客人面前即煮即做(不過話雖如此,現場見到這些活海鮮活生生在鐵板上燒,本人感到有殘忍虐待感覺)這種如果在外國會俾是為虐待生物,是 違法的。 所以我建議食之前最好叫廚師在廚房先處理好再出來燒。 一樣都非常新鮮好味。 這間日式鐵板燒 除了食材非常新鮮價錢也很大眾化 服務和環境也非常好。 而且廚師煮法技巧也不錯, 住港島區的朋友值得推介。好食。

龍蝦起肉來燒,香味四溢,馬上將啖啖熱辣辣龍蝦肉放入口中,咬下去很有嚼勁,可能是有點過熟了。師傅更表現噴火燒龍蝦頭,表演完畢後,頭便拿到廚房煮湯了,只覺湯很咸,沒有熬出海鮮味道。

甜品有紫薯餡的豆沙餅和雪糕,因我已經太飽,豆沙餅只吃了一半,大佬都幾buy佢唔太甜,食哂成件。我吃了曲奇雪糕,大佬吃了芝麻。我當然不錯過拿雪糕送熱辣辣的豆沙餅來當個冰火甜品吃啦!

總括來說當然覺得它的午市套餐較抵吃,不過如要找個無需等位,又能與朋友談天不受騷擾的地方,這裡的確是個不錯的選擇。

First time experiencing a teppanyaki. I was a bit doubtful with this branch after the previous comments but it turns out to be a decent experience.

There weren't many parties for a saturday evening, we got to sit down in front of the chef. Got two Kumamoto sets. It wasn't our first choice but the menu is too misleading as each set has a minimum of two parties, which means you can't sample other sets (without bleeding from your pockets). The waitress was quick to point out you can add on thick cut beef, or a la carte seafood but the numbers just don't add up. Since it was our first time we adopted a wait and see approach

Salad and appetizers were nothing outstanding but then it all starts with the live lobster and abalone grilled on the teppan. The view of the lobster cooked alive, legs chopped and flamed in alcohol for a good 5 minutes could be unbearable for some I reckon. The cold draught Kirin helped wash the pity away. The meat itself was ok, we weren't sure if it enhanced the flavor but at least we knew we weren't served with frozen old stuff.

Foie gras on toast was very good and of a big size. Probably another highlight after the live killing show.

The beef was thinner than paper (I then understood why the waitress was keen to ask me to add up some thick cut beef). I wonder why the chef bothered asking us how cooked we wanted them (like once it hits the pan, it's already overcooked...). He rolls it with roasted garlic and green onion which was nice.

The set ends up with a fried rice carving (we got a Pikachu), some mixed cabbage and a taro pancake (too dry, would had been nice with an ice cream on top).

Overall a good dining experience, a bit expensive when I recall the main was a paper thin beef but teppanyaki was always about the chef skill on show anyway. Would definitely go back and have him carve a Pororo for us, just remember to leave your heart outside the restaurant.

Food note at Akita Teppanyaki

3rd course, Choice between tiger prawn and baby lobster, thank god I picked Lobster, Prawn is not skinned nor headed when brought up, Chef took more than six minutes to just process the prawns which still not deveined till the end. Prawn head was not processed and cooked with much flavour yet simple butter soy with rice vinegar. Lobster was cooked with garlic butter, garlic was over cooked and turned bitter.
Next dish was Sashimi but not served until Beef was already served, should be served earlier.
Lobster head was added back to miso soup but did not enhance the flavour of soup at all
Beef steak: I asked for medium and I got a perfect medium, which is great
Dipping sauce taste flavourless
Since the Chef has to cook for 8 people at the same time, she never had the chance to explain what was being served

Fried rice is very dry, mixed with partially cooked rice, almost choked when eating with chopsticks. OMG, I was not eating rice, I was swallowing hard rice, can not believe this, chef should try the moisturise the rice before seasoning.
Butter Soy cooked Cabbage as finishing, bitter end. Cabbage was too dry because cooked took long and juice are all steamed out.
Chef does not clean the cooking station immediately after cooking.

Sometimes finding a place to eat in Wanchai could get pretty annoying, especially when it's just past 1pm and you don't have advance booking. Sometimes finding a place to eat in Wanchai could get pretty annoying, especially when it's just past 1pm and you don't have advance booking. We stumbled upon a number of places without success this afternoon before finally deciding to try our luck at QRE Plaza. 

After checking out a few places in the building, we zeroed in on Akita Teppanyaki and Sashimi Specialist (秋田鐵板燒刺身專門店) on the 10th floor which happened to be the only restaurant with tables available. As the name suggests, it's a Japanese restaurant specializing in teppanyaki and sashimi. 

Between teppanyaki and sashimi, it was an easy choice for me coz I have been longing for some grilled beef for a while already. In order not to waste any more time, I picked one of the sets which started with this egg custard with salmon roes in an egg shell.

My main dish was thin sliced wagyu beef rolls with garlic chips and green onions along with a piece of grilled king prawn. I thought the king prawn was real nice; the beef rolls were okay but not particularly appealing to my palate.

We had to pick between dessert or coffee. Personally, I'm not a fan of having coffee at a Japanese restaurant so the fact that they only had ice-cream to offer (for dessert) didn't affect my decision to take ice-cream over coffee (or tea).

$158 was a fair price for a teppanyaki lunch in Wanchai these days. I seriously thought some of these dishes were a bit undersized but I guess it's a blessing in disguise considering I have an important meeting in the afternoon. This will make sure I don't fall asleep over the course of the meeting.

三個人來察大餐叫左二人鐵板燒(北海道鱈場蟹)餐,補錢加了 40% 鱈場蟹,又加錢由半隻轉一隻鮑魚,再加三文魚刺身、鹽燒秋刀魚。食物質素跟價錢成正比,水準沒有令人失望。失望的反而是服務。可能我們比錢加這樣加那樣,餐廳放了個冷盤拼盤在我們前面,由於跟別人分享鐵板燒座位,我們不確定是否我們的。問鐵板燒師傅他說不是我們的,過了十五分鐘我看沒動靜又找侍應問了一次,她就說早跟我們說是送我們的。最終鐵板燒師傅好像當沒事發生也沒再說他一開始講錯了。麵豉湯、燒餅和雪糕最終都給了我們三人份(儘管是二人餐)。憑以上種種,我仍懷疑我是否可說這是 fine dining。人均千四 vs 冷盤事件,格格不入!

龍蝦太好吃,大廚起了肉,用牛油炒,肉很爽很甜。掛著吃,忘了拍照。

再來是煎和牛了! 我和老公也愛吃牛,但知道牛很毒,平時在家很少煮,所以今天一定要試試。以為薄薄一片點些醬汁已經很好吃,大廚把牛肉卷著一些蒜片,吃下去更惹咪更香。

吃到這裡,其實已有點飽,但其實還有幾度菜。之前吃過的龍蝦,備免浪費,其他部份拿了入廚房做了一個湯。這湯來得正好,暖暖我們的肚皮,休息一下。

美食陸續有來,這炒飯很精彩。裡面有櫻花蝦,魚子,煙肉及火腿。櫻花蝦及魚子加強了口感,煙肉及火腿更是炒飯不可決少呢。

大廚終於可以休息一下了! 他叫我們想想一會後讓他做個甚麼公仔來興祝我們的紀念日。當然是龍貓吧! 雖然樣子不是十分相似,但是大廚的誠意十足。而且其他客人也一起祝我們結婚週年快樂呢!

這頓飯足足吃了3個小時,有美味的食物,有大廚的表演,娛樂性豐富! 我們一定會再來!

My friend and I ordered 2 set lunches. Mine came with the king prawn and my friend had goose liver.Salad was decent but just a bit too much dressing for my liking. Steamed egg was served in an egg shell which was pretty cute. The egg was very smooth and the salmon roes added flavour to it. The beef was decent. The King prawn was of decent size and fresh.

Fried rice was not bad but can use a bit more oil as it was a bit too dry but I appreciate the chef's intention to make it dry and not oily.

The veggie and soup were pretty standard.

The set lunch came with either ice-cream or coffee which made the meal complete.

Overall, food was decent and it was good value for money but don't expect the chef to have the same positive and friendly attitude as you can get in Nadaman or Hana. He kept a straight face for the whole time.

When we were enjoying the coffee the chef started cleaning the stove with water and detergent which was highly inappropriate as the dirty water actually splashed out it was pretty annoying. Obviously it was almost the end of the lunch session and the chef probably wanted us to leave the restaurant.

The waitress however was attentive and kept pouring tea for us.

In terms of environment, it was spacious but the stove area was not kept clean which I guess was undesirable as the customers can actually see the the stove and cooking area clearly.
