Due to the opening of the recent western end of Hong Kong island, we decided to embark on a food hunting mission on this area for one whole day. Since noon, we have been eating continually and exploring this area for some photo taking. This restaurant has always been in my food list and garnered several positive reviews from Openrice and food critics. When we reached at 730pm, the shop was already packed with people and few tables were also set up outside the shop to accommodate more customers.
Black bean sauce was cooked till very flavourful. We could even just eat the rice with the sauce. Clams were done very expertly as we could not taste any sand in it.
Since this shop specialize in claypot rice, so it deems quite natural for us to order one. The claypot rice that we ordered came with beef and preserved meat. Beef was very tender and juicy and rice was cooked till fragrant as the rice has absorbed all those meat’s smell.
