This month, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong hosted a fun yet meaningful gathering - their “VIVA GLAM” party promoting self-expression and compassion. I had a vibrant time enjoying M.A.C Cosmetics’ specialty creations. 💄First up was a showstopping cake - layers of vibrantly hued sponge that were light and airy. Taking a bite, I was filled with joy as the different flavors danced on my tongue. The bright blue layer tasted of tropical coconut, the pink of strawberry cream, and the yellow layer a burst of zesty lemon. Between each was fluffy frosting that melted in my mouth. A cascading rainbow of fondant stripes looked too good to eat, but each bite gave a satisfying crunch coupled with the sweet cake. My smile grew with each taste, putting me in a festive mood. 😊🎂With so many eye-catching sights, it was the treats that truly delighted the senses. We had the most delicious dinner at Sha Tin 18 . The appetiser platter was so flavourfu. The sliced garoupa was so tender and fresh, alongside the crisp luffa and delicate beancurd sheet soup 😋. The signature Peking duck was melt-in-your-mouth goodness 🤤. The stir-fried abalone with umami black mushrooms and numbing Sichuan pepper truly awakened the taste buds 🔥. The pan-fried chicken had moist and succulent meat perfectly balanced by the subtle flavors of lily bulb and green pepper 🍗. The wok-baked cod fish in a mouthwatering homemade Chinese wampi paste sauce stole the show 🐟. The tossed mustard greens and fried rice rounds were savory and satisfying 🥘.
