Openrice訂枱有著數, 送三片三文魚刺身及全單85折。 店名有點怪，不知葫蘆裏賣乜藥。 原本想坐戶外座位，不過怕熱回室內嘆冷氣。有幾款食物，特別想推介：有機和風沙律，蔬菜種類很多，有各式葉菜，沙律菜，蕃茄，青瓜，配了紫菜絲及芝麻，蔬菜新鮮爽口，加上日式沙律汁，甜中帶酸，很醒胃。蕃茄厚肉多汁，好甜免治雞肉棒，原以為肉質是輭糊糊的，誰知原來帶點像雞輭骨，脆口的，很特別，要encore.最後亦是最喜歡的，什錦天婦羅，有冬菇，甜椒，蕃薯，茄子，等等（掛住食，唔記得咁多），最觸目的是大蝦，大大隻，肉質結實，爽口彈牙。粉漿不過厚，墊紙無乜油。…Read More

An Indian food maniac wanted to taste good Indian food in Hong Kong.  Tulsi and Wine popped up in my mind.I understood the maniac was a bit picky.  I thought the warm and inviting ambience should be satisfying.A chandelier hung at the middle of the ceiling, the stained fixtures, the cosy rich fabric tones, the light beige wood flooring and walls.  The golden framed mirrors and ethnical pictures brought the rich Indian culture back to this contemporary and tastefully eatery.Venue chosen by me.  Orders mostly made by the maniac.The vegetable Samosa was my favourite too.  I liked the crispy shell and the soft veggie inside .I was recommended the signature Indian tea ~~ hot Masala Tea.  This Masala Chia was made by brewing black tea with a mixture of Indian spices and herbs.  It was really aromatic and comforting.The maniac chose another signature drink, the Mango Lassi.  It went well with spicy food.The Tandoori Chicken .The chicken pieces were crispy outside but the meat was still succulent. Authentic! It reflected the chef's culinary skill.The outlook of the Indian rice was dried and loose but in fact it was soft and moist.  It went well with the Tandoori Chicken.I liked the Bhindi Masala very much.  The Okra was still crispy in the sauce.  The Papadam was thin and crispy.  It added fun to the meal.The Chicken Vindaloo was really good ~~ moist chicken in hot spicy sauce. (no photo  :)) I would like if it was kept to the original recipe to include potatoes. I was later learned from the waitress that they skipped the potatoes to cope with customers views. The maniac was so anxious to go to the Quarry Bay restaurant when was told that it kept the original Indian recipes.Aloo Gobi was another veggie dish.  The combination of potatoes and cauliflower were good.  I would like them not to be so soft.The must item was the naan.  Both plain and truffle naan are good for me.The Gulab Jamum and Kulfi gave a sweet ending. 聚舊當然要找間有好吃的，店子細細，陳設好有日本居酒居feel。見到有很多客人留下的酒，應該無中伏。其中幾樣厨師推介，真的不錯。水晶沙律，這個冷盤是以水晶菜又叫冰菜，冰草為主角，那葉上的泡狀細胞含有很多液體，在燈光反射下，有如水晶般晶瑩剔透，聽說含有很多微量元素及礦物質，水份充足，是健康食品，帶點酸醎味及一點點青瀝味。紅綠相影，蘸點胡麻醬伴食，好的開始。為配合日式感覺，飲品要了波子汽水，有點懷舊。見到有個瓶子，裝了很多波子，是打破波子汽水樽留下吧！海螺夠件頭切成片狀，肉質脆硬，很有嚼頭，但牙力不夠免問。吞拿魚腩，每人一片（＄１００），粉紅嫩滑，雖未至入口即溶，但勝在夠香滑，油脂剛好，不會過多，最怕吃到滿口油。談釣池魚 (一魚兩食)，魚片做刺身，魚骨做炸物。這種肉厚刺少的魚，做刺身最適合不過。刺身薄切，刀工不錯，如果再薄一點，更顯通透。雖然魚味不太濃，但非常新鮮。銀白魚片，以紅葉做裝飾，有秋天氣息，賣相討好。加上薑蓉，葱粒，豉油同吃，提升層次。原以為炸魚骨只是敷衍了事之作，沒想到這樣鬆脆香口，除了魚頭骨，全部也可以吃，如果可以encore就好了。天扶良(我慣了叫天婦羅tempura)是至愛，入口不油，菜類配天扶良汁，肉類配白鹽或柚子鹽：花竹蝦$68一只，肉很爽，不是那些霉貨，連蝦頭也不放過。（不便宜喔！）帶子夾海膽$68一件，白色的帶子包著紅色的海膽，外層脆脆的，是手工之作，很有特色。沙追魚$38一件，肉質輭滑，披著薄薄的外衣，內輭外脆，回味。粟子$20一件，蕃薯$15一件，天然甜，很滿足，是我的至愛。沖繩苦瓜$20一件，淡淡的苦味，爽脆多汁，勾起開心片段。談天說地又一晚。…Read More

故友重聚，就到這不限時的食店，飲品我選了有特色的忌廉插柚子沙冰。以柚子打成的沙冰，柚子味很出，加上整支忌廉汽水倒插，忌廉慢慢流入，也可控制份量，賣相gimmick兼備。另外加上個人的情意結，怎不給滿分? 玉泉忌廉汽水的味道，勾起藏於心底的回憶..... 海鮮薄餅 （希望無記錯 ），主要是韮菜及魷魚，薄餅本身味道很淡，要配合醬汁一起吃，風味可截然不同。談笑間，不覺自己幾乎吃了整碟。醬醃莞島鮑魚，這個是我的至愛，肉質爽脆，味道清新。另外，清河醉雞翼，也是一道清爽的菜式，吃了兩個冷盤，已抵銷了薄餅的油膩澸。火山脆皮豆腐，豆腐是百搭食材，煮法可千變萬化，豆腐包了很薄的炸漿，外層脆脆的，內面仍是非常軟滑，有點像豆腐花。醬汁是帶點微辣，紅紅的辣就是火山吧！味道偏甜，吃慣香港的炸豆腐，可能會不慣這甜度。這餐聚舊宴，無時間限制，吃得開心盡情。…Read More

I feel that I must report to myself, for my very own sake, the delicious experience I had here :)I almost missed the entrance on this first visit here. There is a signpost leading you to the elevator on Jaffe Road.Up in the restaurant, it is a well illuminated, neat and spacious environment that embraced people with a comfortable quietness along with gentle music floating.The staff kindly explained their menu – there are a la carte menus and sets, as well as “Chef’s Choice” course the menu varies each day depending on the best ingredients available that day.I bet they know the best seasonal food, so here I go with their “Chef’s Choice Shika” Course. AppetizerSweet vegetables of different textures.Baby Taro and cooked sweet potato are both nice , but I especially recommended the fresh okra (raw) ~~ fresh and healthy.ShashimiToday’s course is Hokkaido oyster, Striped jack, Japanese amberjack, Whelk and fatty Tuna. They are served along with seaweed salad and wasabi.Hokkaido oyster has a gentle sweetness, followed by mild-tasted Striped jack. The amberjack is fully seasoned with onion, Dashi and herbs so it is very intense. The Whelk is fresh and chewy. Shashimi section ends with a grand finale – inch-thick fatty Tuna! Comes with Nori and Sea grapes, it makes me miss my stay in Okinawa.Little savoury between the cold and hot dishes.Hot dishesHere is spicy cooked duck breast and double-grilled splendid alfonsino.The duck breast would be too salty for those who are not used to traditional Japanese seasoning.The grilled fish is salty as well but not as heavily flavoured as the duck. (I believe the chef said Akame, but my neighhour happens to be speaking loudly, so I might have missed it), saury, fatty tuna, sardine and sea urchin.They all are of a nice softness and sweetness, especially the urchin, balanced with spiciness.  I like it when they put a leaf of sishu along with wasabi. I also noticed it is not made from white rice. The rice is seasoned when cooked and provided a further richness to the taste.There’s also a sweet egg roll preceding the soup.SoupSaury soup! Saury is one of the representing autumn dish in Japanese food. I’m glad I have it both in sushi and soup.DessertDessert part one, Hokkaido white corn. 巴馬火腿田園沙律 鵝肝多士 黑松露意大利粉 美國安格斯肉眼 Amico 斯里蘭卡吸精吸血殺人大青蛙 乳酪雪糕waffle 聽聞這間以朋友(Amico)命名的餐廳一段時間，此店位置有點遠離旺角鬧市，可是人流一點也不少，如果晚一點來，可要排隊。門外貼了新聞介紹四位型男如何開店的資料。店裡佈置有點懷舊feel，牆上掛了反影羅馬時期的壁畫。餐牌菜式不算多，除了單點，還有套餐供應。先來一個巴馬火腿田園沙律，不知道火腿歲數，但味道很好，沒有油膱味，蔬菜夠新鮮爽口。加上(相信是)balsamic vinegar，使整個沙律入口香脆。火腿和沙律擺放有如花一樣，顏色賣相悅目吸引。鵝肝多士的鵝肝雖然香味不太濃，但煎得很脆，厚度和那片厚多士一樣，蒜蓉包比鵝肝更香脆，兩者一軟一脆，還有沙律菜作伴，芫茜碎裝飾，配搭吃著，不會過膩，天衣無縫。各自叫了一個主菜，美國安格斯肉眼份量很大，同樣伴以沙律。薯條，應該叫薯棒吧，切得粗粗的，吃得很有滿足感，而且不油膩，必然是隔了油才上碟。肉眼扒要了五成熟。夠胆只用鹽和胡椒粉調味，証明牛扒級數不差，有肉的質感，肉味很出，不像那些用了鬆肉粉的，令到肉質改變，味道寡寡的。黑松露意大利粉一上桌，松露香味撲鼻，還有很多雜菇，松露醬很多，松露味道在口中久久不散。意大利粉卻不太al dente，以剛才吃的幾個菜的高水準估計，大厨是為了遷就香港人口味而作出讓步吧！不得不提的是那些特飲，全部特飲名稱也很出位，幸好餐牌有介紹材料，否則，真是丈八金剛，摸不著頭腦。Amico，以店名為名，相信應該是招牌飲品，以長項樽盛載加上扭曲的飲管，給了印像分。打碎的茘枝肉加上雪碧，檸檬及橙汁，入口清甜，不會口渴，不覺有加糖。飯友的斯里蘭卡吸精吸血殺人大青蛙，名字夠gimmick，吸精吸血？好像很補身似的(一笑！！)，以玻璃樽盛載。其實是菠蘿汁加薄荷，青綠色的飲品，浮了一層白泡（精 ？），一磈薄荷葉，薄荷葉上的一點紅（血 ？），造就了這個清涼清新的吸睛飲品。P.S.：很喜歡那些通心冰。 Sweet ending 是乳酪雪糕waffle，還以為乳酪雪糕是稀薄的，原來雪糕是帶點煙靱，甜度剛好，吃了不會有罪咎感。那waffle充滿蛋香，鬆軟，有彈性，簡單的淋了草莓汁作裝飾，同樣不過甜。一定是自家製的。這個簡直是完美句號。以這樣有水準厨藝，新鮮食物，定價也不太高，難怪雖然不是處於旺角心臟地帶，等位人龍也很長，幸好我一向奉行早起的鳥兒有蟲吃，不然......特飲如此吸引，日後一定要試盡所有特飲。…Read More

是日怱怱忙忙，見到有間齋店，不用等位，一於試試。叫一個套餐$95，免費前菜，茶錢$8，還有免費糖水。雖說免費，但湯，前菜及糖水絕不欺場。先說前菜，有多款選擇，好像是５選１［太怱忙，沒留意］，我選了拍青瓜及筍雲耳，入口很爽，帶點微辣，很醒胃。湯更是無得彈，不知道齋湯如何能煲到如此入味。湯料是猴頭菇煲，紅蘿蔔粟米及一種透明的食物［又忘記是甚麽］，好味好食。主菜是金針雲耳蒸猴頭菇煲仔飯，飯餸分量很多，單單以菇類做煲仔飯，要掌握到煲仔飯精粹～～飯香，餸入味真的不易。以石窩上桌，金針雲耳猴頭菇及青菜等，好味到停不了口。還有飯焦，加上煲仔必有的豉油，飯香四溢。最後還有雪耳杏汁糖水，杏味濃郁，可惜太趕時間，未能細心品嘗。近期會多在銅鑼灣走動，一定再來。…Read More

熱辣辣，點解要食鷄煲？唔知喎，有人提議就去，橫惦地點就腳。未食先被裝修給引，此店不像其他雞煲店，貼滿食物相片及價錢。有兩面牆掛了幾幅京都風景畫，吊燈也很有特色。另一面牆的畫，仲攪笑，畫中人物，熟口熟面，還配有對話，看後令人發出會心微笑。紅髲小丑話： 幾時有陸陸雞包呀？  幾有創意喎，期待中........ 墊枱紙設計有心思，提醒小心雞煲很熱。 先來一個免費甜頭~~蕃茄仔很爽甜，西瓜又甜又多汁。食雞煲不一定要飲酸梅湯嘅，呢間店咁有創意，來支青檸梳打可也。嘩！無諗過咁大支，冰冰凍，內有青檸片和鮮橙塊，的確與別不同。透心凉.....等侍雞煲時，叫了炸魷魚鬚。我永遠唔明，點解魷魚鬚可以黐實啲漿粉。這個漿粉無分離，很脆，好味。人少少，一個例牌陸陸雞煲夠晒數，要了最唔辣ge ＢＢ辣，真的不太辣，只有微微的麻，我可以接受。雞煲先在厨房屋炒至八成熟，蓋好才拿出來在枱上煮一陣，店員幫忙翻幾翻，再煮一陣，開....食得啦!好香，好嫩滑....其實店員從厨房拿出時已聞到小小香味，好夠鑊氣，証明是每煲分別炒，不是炒起一大份才分煲。煲內除了雞件，還有紅白洋蔥，大蔥，芫茜，香料，蔬菜，材料豐富。雞肉很滑，明知是冰鮮雞，也禁不住多嘴問問是否新鮮雞，做到如此入味，香滑，厨師真的功夫到家，抵讚。食完雞煲，現在興加湯做火煱，響玲也幾乎是家家必備配料，這個自家製響玲，符合了我不油，香脆的要求，下火煱，淖一淖，食得。吸收了雞煲的香味，比起乾吃，味道更上一層樓。丸類食品，火煱伴侶，再來幾個肉丸，我吃了墨丸及龍蝦丸，墨丸黑麻麻，但又幾爽滑，蝦丸因吸收了湯味，吃不到蝦味，總之爽口彈牙。這個陸陸鮮菜籃，看相片就知，蔬菜種類很多，不但顏色配搭悅目，還有心思，排列有序，連冬菇也切了花，無交行貨，新鮮好吃，多多纖維。最估不到還有甜品，吃到熱辣辣，來一個冰涼紅豆綠茶mochi，賣飛佛。…Read More

見到有套餐，價錢也是百多元，十多款選擇。套餐是湯或沙律任擇其一，我選了沙律。另有黑松露烤餅主菜選了鱸魚及蜆飲品是芒果拉昔先來一杯芒果拉昔，這拉昔，芒果味不太濃，反而酸味多一點，帶少少甜，所以不會過酸。田園沙律色彩豐富，材料新鮮，有甜椒，洋蔥，生菜，及其他沙律菜，等等，非常爽脆，有清新香味，配合那自家調配淡綠色醬汁，非常醒胃，　又可增加纖維。黑松露烤餅是我的必選，烤餅很鬆脆，不像以往吃過的油及實，可惜松露味道不太突出。主菜的爐魚，魚皮燒得很香脆，肉質偏削，沒有太濃調味，大大塊，保留魚的原味，超值，抵讚。蜆細細隻，連殼上，份量不少，配合帶有微微香料味的醬汁，與魚塊的清淡，濃淡相配，一乾一濕，形成強烈對比。套餐以外，叫了甜品，甜品只有兩款選擇，沒有圖片，胡亂選了蘋果批配雪糕，幻想可能是蘋果金寳吧，眼見鄰桌有款如煎堆的食物，正想問問是甚麼的時候，我的蘋果批配雪糕到了。天啊！原來就是那“煎堆”。以金屬架托著分放兩邊的白碟，一碟是“煎堆”，一碟是雪糕。煎堆淡黃的顏色，雪糕顏色是黃黃橙橙，賣相無可挑剔。“煎堆”開了一個口，裏面放了蘋果及果仁粒，煎堆外殼很脆，雪糕是以菠蘿，椰子，等為材料，有很香的果味，自家製雪糕，通常很快溶。快快把雪糕放入“煎堆”內，與果仁混在一起吃，香，脆，軟，滑，不同的texture，很精彩。單吃“煎堆”也不錯。現在香港很多食肆也不歡迎客人“磨爛蓆”，但這裡沒有給我這種趕客的感覺。談談笑笑又一晚。…Read More

韓國旅行告吹，留港吃吃韓食補數。領匯商場店鋪似乎越來越多元化，這間韓國料想好像是近期才開業。店內座位很多，也有很多卡座。餐牌是插畫形式，帶點青春感，色彩豐富，以韓文，中文，英文顯示菜名，很生動有趣。每枱也放有調味品及餐具。韓國應該是世界上用匙最普遍的國家，我很喜歡用韓國的匙，長長匙抦，用起來很方便，但筷子就比較重，這裏有長短兩款筷子提供。細看菜單，大部份也是韓國的家庭菜式，店主很靈活的讓客人可選不辣，這可讓不吃辣的人也能品嘗韓國料理，真的不錯。例湯及前菜是免費的。例湯是肉末湯，例湯不能要求太多，清清的，喝了不口渴已合格了。前菜兩款，簡簡單單，太多反而浪費，豆芽淡淡的豆香與泡菜的酸辣形成強烈對比。選了這裏的推介之一，漢拿山芝士蛋溶岩豚肉炒飯，走辣。侍應先把材料上枱，再在現場以鐵板即炒熱。因為是即炒的關係，味道濃淡及辣道也可以隨意。完成時，炒飯堆成一座山似的，蛋槳及芝士圍在底，這就是英文菜名所指的火山吧!因是依據個人口味而調炒，所以很對口胃，飯輭硬適中，除了有芝士及蛋外，還加入紫菜，貫徹韓風。蛋槳有芝士，所以有點醎味，配飯很不錯。豬肉很稔滑，不過要留心，豬肉有些軟骨，幾乎中招。盛飯的金屬小碗，是有抦的，金屬匙，金屬碗，有點在吃野營的感覺。這裏僱用了很多韓國人，替我們炒飯的是一位在香港讀書的韓國女孩子，她沒有韓星的倒模樣子，很健談可愛，原來她的家鄉就是在我想去旅行的地方，真是巧合。她說韓國人用的筷子是扁的，不像香港及日本用圓的，怪不得這裏的筷子全是扁的。飯雖然好吃，但我最喜歡的是雞翼及鮑魚，這兩款也沒有驚人的賣相，但是非常好吃。這是侍應推介的。清河醉雞翼一碟四隻，沒花巧，微微透著酒香但吃不到酒味，一點也不覺得肥膩，雞皮很爽脆，連一向不吃雞皮的人也全吃了。記不起鮑魚是甚麼名字，不用$200 有六隻這是本地鮑魚，另有生吃的是進口貨。用了秘製調味，鮑魚味不太濃，但非常爽口，口感輭滑，醬汁清淡但與鮑魚很搭配，不會蓋過鮑魚的原味。飲品叫了雙層草莓溝菠蘿沙冰底層是鮮味的菠蘿沙冰，頂層是草莓沙冰，上紅下黃，色彩有層次，加上雕了像玫瑰花的草莓浮在杯口，視覺滿足。清新冰涼，用有耳杯盛載，不會把飲品弄熱。個人喜歡軟杰一點的沙冰，這杯較稀。…Read More

We have been to 2+2 many times.  They keep the same food standard for years except the varieties of desserts were lessen.The price ranged from two hours or full time 4 hours.  We chose the full 4-hour one which was just $180 more than the 2-hour one.We wanted to have more time chatting than just rushing to take the food.Of course one cannot expect very top quality food in a buffet.  There were varieties of salad and cold meat.  They were placed in two levels.  It was difficult for those not tall enough to take the top level food. The cold meat and salads were all very fresh sided with the choice of salad dressings and thousand island sauce.The buffet theme was oysters and lobsters.  The oysters were fresh. They cleaned each one very carefully and shelled it by order. Apart from serving cold half lobsters, they also had lobster rice, lobster noodles, lobster soup and even lobster souffle.  This was the first time I had savory souffle.  It was a surprise to me and it tasted quite good. I especially liked the installation of waffle and pancake makers.  Patrons could make their own one which added more fun to the dinner.  Just a press of the button, the pancake would gradually came out. For waffles, you scouped the batter to the machine, closed the lid and turned it over.  Just wait until the machine beeped.  You would have a nicely cooked fresh waffle.  You could make 4 at a time. There were strawberry sauce, mango sauce and chocolate sauce to go with it.Their cakes and macarons were also very tasty.
