Food is overpriced and service is awful. Paying customers are treated like they are unwelcome! It’s so shameful. No wonder they have such a bad reputation - just read the Google reviews and see the owner’s replies about the poor service and the food. It’s so defensive and childish it’s almost comical. I was having lunch and we were a party of 3. So 3 dishes and 3 drinks etc. We were seated in a table for 2 and that was all fine until the cutlery was set and we already found ourselves struggling with the space and our cutlery was falling on the floor because of the tight space. There were two tables for 4 people available and I requested we move there but was told that is only for 4+ people. We ordered these massive plates and really struggled for the next 80 minutes while those tables for 4 remained empty. Actually a group of 4 did come in, ordered drinks (no food) and left in 30ish min but there was always 1 if not 2 empty tables for us available the whole time - so we left feeling bitter about the whole experience.I believe in serving the customers who are actually present in the restaurant rather than focus on imaginary customers that may come in. And as a group of 3 I do also believe an exception can be made to be seated in the table of 4 - I think this is standard restaurant practice. Especially when two tables are empty. Loved the food at Fiamma. I don’t think I’ve had an octopus this good in all of Hong Kong - I’m usually not a fan of octopus because it’s rare to get the cook right but they did it so well. Had some other classic dishes, boar ragu pasta, salami piccante pizza, their quality of dough is delicious and moreish. service and atmosphere was very good - they went out of their way to ensure we were having a good time. …查看更多

The pearl offered a high quality meal and cocktails with modern twists. What we enjoyed most about the meal was that we were able to find flavor combinations that we had not had before yet pairings were familiar and comforting, we had the mussels, tuna salad, uni linguini, and pork with quince jelly. Boring?! Cafe is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. We had the all day breakfast and fish and chips. The variety and colors in the all day breakfast is the best I’ve seen. You get smoked salmon, waffle with maple syrup, baked beans, scrambled eggs, fries, grilled tomato and a side salad AND a choice of either grilled chicken/mushroom/beef. I picked the chicken which had a slightly spicy marinade and was delicious. The scrambled eggs were also silky and cooked perfectly. The fish and chips were incredible, again great value for money and you get a big slice of fried cod which was crispy on the outside and soft of the inside. I also loved the chunky tartar sauce. I would also recommend getting the rose lychee mojito. It’s a mocktail and I haven’t seen these flavors used together before and it was so good. Most importantly, the service was really nice all the staff were super friendly and knew the menu items well and were accommodating on dietary restrictions. Fantastic experience overall. …查看更多

The food at park by years is vegan but it is not lacking in depth of flavor and satisfaction. What also makes it wonderful is the friendly and attentive service. The portion size is quite generous and the prices are worth it. I had the Thai style orzo and have never had anything quite like it before, it was bursting with fresh Thai flavors and I appreciate the innovative approach towards cafe cuisine. Recommend! …查看更多

I have yet to come across a more innovative vegan menu in HK. I particularly enjoyed the dishes that didn’t rely too much on soy/mock meat. I am still thinking about the “Peking duck” tacos weeks after - they were made from fried oyster mushrooms and were delicious. Another fav was the boozy Nepali coffee. So glad to have stumbled across this newly opened cafe in SSP. They focus on Whole Foods and quality ingredients. The coffee was good and the service was thoughtful. We were absolutely wowed with their interpretation of bread and butter pudding. A must try. Can’t wait to try more menu items …查看更多

Needed to express this may have been the worst Peking duck I’ve had for a place that specializes in duck. The skin wasn’t crisp enough so you ended up with a mouthful of oily duck fat with every bite. The meat itself was fine. The service was terrible - full of uninterested staff. They were barely paying attention so not surprised they messed up our order too. The setting was nice and the reason we picked it for a nice occasion - but the bustling atmosphere (not in a good way) bad service and mediocre food ruined it. Don’t go. …查看更多

La Casa Bistro probably has the best bang for your buck burger in the area, where a typical dinner has cost an upwards of $400. We tried the classic beef burger and a ‘bunless’ bbq chicken. The service was friendly and quick. The quality was fresh! We also ordered a truffle mushroom fettuccine, the sauce was creamy and rich and the noodles were amazing. We found out they make their pasta in-house, and again it was very good quality for the prices. They have a great selection of beers too. Next time I look forward to trying their ready to cook meals and homemade pasta which is available for purchase to cook in the convenience of your own home - a great option during the coronavirus!La Casa Bistro is all about quality, simplicity and affordability in a convenient central location. I love that there is a place in tst wholly devoted to Thai noodles. The place had boat noodles, Tom yum noodles and clear soup noodles which are all customizable with what protein and noodle type you want ( egg noodle, rice noodle or sweet potato noodle) additionally they had several appetizers to pick from. We ordered a kurbota pork boat noodles, chicken tom yum noodles, papaya salad and fried cheese wontons. Every dish was presented beautifully and service was fast. The soup noodles were flavorful and a good portion - I was able to customize my level of spice as they placed some Thai chili sauce on the table. Hungry bird is a reasonable priced place with great service and a diverse menu. There’s a selection of meat, seafood and veggie skewers and lots of snack, rice and noodle dishes too. We decided to focus on the skewers but also got the salted egg yolk fries because they sounded tempting. I was deeply impressed by their pork skewers and like that they put a lot of flavor in their veggies too. The asparagus skewers and pork belly were the favorites of the night. The asparagus was soft on the inside and had a yummy smoky char on the outside. We also got prawn, chicken wing, lamb, chili pepper and scallop. We enjoyed all of them, the cook was perfect and that smoky flavor made everything taste so good. The salted egg told Fries were also one of a kind and can’t help but munch on them.…查看更多

Sodam Chicken has amazing late-night Korean food. I like how the menu offers so much more than just fried chicken and the other items are good too. We ordered an amazing cheese dubboki wrapped with bacon. It was covered in hot sauce and mustard which I found concerning at first - but the flavors worked so well together - the taste kind of reminded me of a hot dog. We decided to try a different variety of chicken rather than the typical fried chicken and opted for the spicy oven baked chicken. It was really delicious. The skin of the chicken was super crispy and the spicy powder gave it a good kick. I enjoyed this as an alternative to double fried batter - I’m guessing this is much healthier too. We got garlic cheese fries and garlic bread cubes on the side - it came with a delicious garlicky sauce.Overall, I loved the food at Sodam and like how it’s in a convenient spot for fried chicken cravings. I love all the customization options at Tiger Noodles & Bar. I didn’t find any of the soup bases appealing though, so I opted for a curry sauce on dry egg noodles. I added some of their homemade chili sauce for an extra kick and the combination was pretty powerful! For a $60 bowl of noodles it was hearty, not too cheap but not crazy expensive either. My toppings were cheese balls (don’t recommend) enoki mushrooms (recommend as it paired well with the sauce) soft boiled egg (recommend) and Japanese bbq pork (highly Recommend) the pork was soft and flavorful. Butcher's Club Burgers have a nice variety of different burgers, including pork chicken and vegetarian options. It's the true gourmet burger experience with good ingredients, flavor combinations and nice texture. I really enjoyed The Gambler which is a fried chicken burger which is tossed in hot sauce and doused with blue cheese cream. I could have one of these once a week. I love how the brioche bun soaks up the blue cheese as well. The flavor combination is amazing. Another favorite is the vegetarian beyond burger which also has a great taste. The fries are also yummy and well seasoned. I cant't wait to come again to try the ice cream sandwich too. The service is friendly and they serve you quite fast, so it's a decent option if you're in a hurry or want to catch a movie :) …查看更多

Shack Shake scored a really good location in HK as it's on the rooftop of IFC. The view is definitely the best of any Shake Shack I've been to in the US and Dubai. The taste is consistent across all locations, but the lines are still really long in HK! I think it's great to grab a bite, but wouldn't think it's the type of burger you have to wait 30 min in line for. I think the fries here are just ok, I don't particularly like crinkle cut fries though, and the cheese sauce tastes like a canned variety.  The stars are really their burgers and frozen custards. I've tried the chicken burger that I'd give a 6/10 for, and the veggie burger a 7/10. I like that there are some HK inspired milkshakes and frozen custards. But the long lines make it difficult to get your burgers and ice cream separately, otherwise you have to spend a long time in line. They have an express line for drinks, which does not include the milkshakes which is a shame and makes little sense. I would advise the management to include milkshakes and frozen custard in the express line. They even have dog biscuits, which my puppy really appreciates :) …查看更多
