It’s my first post on OpenRice and I decided to write a review for this restaurant because I don’t want anybody to suffer what we suffered. We’ve been to this restaurant months ago when it was newly opened, food was great and we decided to go again yesterday. The restaurant was not busy at all, we ordered some food, food quality was good as expected but what I wanna say is the customer service and hygiene problem. Two waitresses didn’t wear masks at all, one of them keep coughing and I saw other customers asking the manager “why is she not wearing a mask? It’s not good that she’s coughing badly and not wearing a mask!” The incapable manager said to them “well I already told them but they never listen to me, how about you tell them directly?” I was shocked with such answer! The two customers gave up and therefore we try to talk to the manager again, he said the company has given orders to all staff that they need to wear masks at work but none of them listening, maybe it’s useful if customers tell them directly. So we decided to ask one of them and she said “yea I know but we are not used to wearing a mask! It’s so hot! I’m just a part time staff here I only work here for few hours!” OMG what an answer ... absolutely bad attitude and she doesn’t think it’s necessary to wear a mask in nowadays situation, it’s our problem being paranoid !! I also see no one in the kitchen wearing a mask and the manager also admitted that all chefs in the kitchen are not wearing mask and he couldn’t help it.. overall it was such an unpleasant experience. We wanted to sneak out from home and have a nice lunch outside. Unfortunately the restaurant made us worried and I doubt If I will visit again. I type this in English cos we know the bosses are Indian and Egyptian, hope you guys can read it. All restaurants are very serious in doing hygiene precautions and I don’t see anything in this restaurant. No wonder restaurants on the same street are always busy but this one is so empty empty. Even the bar tender pull down his mask most of the time. Now I see how poor HR management can lead to a business failure. I should put this example in my thesis.
