What a ridiculous experience

What's the deal with this pancake place?! Passed by today and found that there was no queue, so got a ticket and we were seated almost right away. We ordered at 11:38, waited for 30 minutes, no pancakes came and we had already finished our caramel macchiatos which were way too sweet. After witnessing a complaint scene by the 3 ladies right across from us at the long table who had waited for their pancakes for 45 minutes and were told to expect a further waiting time of 20 minutes (ie a total of

What's the deal with this pancake place?! Passed by today and found that there was no queue, so got a ticket and we were seated almost right away. We ordered at 11:38, waited for 30 minutes, no pancakes came and we had already finished our caramel macchiatos which were way too sweet. After witnessing a complaint scene by the 3 ladies right across from us at the long table who had waited for their pancakes for 45 minutes and were told to expect a further waiting time of 20 minutes (ie a total of 1 hour and 5 minutes), and a glance around to find almost all diners there were still waiting for their pancakes, we asked the server how long our pancakes are gonna take, and were told likely another 30-40 minutes. Right away, we made the decision of the day to cut (time) loss and quit. No wonder half of the place is empty now. Who on earth would have the time to wait more than an hour for 3 pieces of pancakes made from an ordinary egg batter?? We'd rather forfeit the dear price of $300 paid to learn a lesson. The worst part is there is no sign, words of caution, warning in words or verbally to manage customer expectation that it's gonna take way over 1 hour for the pancakes, however pretty and fluffy they are supposed to be, to come - at least this will allow us to make a decision to stop pursuing further upfront. WILL NEVER BE BACK, period.
