逸東軒, a traditional cantonese restaurant earns 2017 michelin 1 star draws our attention to try out their weekend dim sum lunch. It locates in Jordan at the basement of Yat Tung hotel. Overall, the dim sum quality is quite good as we ordered a few such as 帶子燒賣,小籠包,馬拉糕,素鵝,醉雞。With exception of the drunken chicken, I say all others are in very good quality. There is not enough wine flavour for the drunken chicken but the meat is tendered at least. 小籠包 size is bigger than other places and the meat
Overall, the dim sum quality is quite good as we ordered a few such as 帶子燒賣,小籠包,馬拉糕,素鵝,醉雞。With exception of the drunken chicken, I say all others are in very good quality. There is not enough wine flavour for the drunken chicken but the meat is tendered at least. 小籠包 size is bigger than other places and the meat flavour is quite strong. 馬拉糕 is very fluffy and with right amount of sweetness, which is really nice. 素鵝 is very crispy, thumbs up as well. 帶子燒賣 is also a bit different than regular one as the extra piece of scallop sits on top provides a different layer of taste, which makes an ordinary 燒賣 standout.
We also ordered the ablanone, scallop fried rice. However, I wish it was a bit more salty and less oily. Nevertheless, the rice texture is quite good and that is the most important.
There is one thing that we notice the menu has some issue in particular towards weekend dim sum. Half of the menu is related to set lunch, which they only offer during weekday. It is easy to be mistakenly believe it is also being offered for weekend. In particular, there are some choices to let people select but they will end up wasting the time. Minor issue, no biggy. Enviorment setting and service is also quite decent.
Overall, we are pleased with our dim sum experience, and we look forward to come back for other food.
