Walked passed it a few weeks ago and immediately fell in love with its obsolete deco (I always have this thing abt antiques). Decided to come here to celebrate our 4th valentine's day. My BF made the booking, and he commented the waiter sounded rude on the phone! About the food, for a small resturant, you couldn't expect a lot of choice, so wasn't too disappointed, but when I asked for the drinks list, there are NO WINE LIST?!?! WHY?!?!
Anyway, we ordered parma ham w/ melon for starters, the melon was really juicy and sweet, but only 2 slices.... plenty of ham tho.... The bread was VERY nice!!! It's warm, it has a crispy crust but remains soft inside. They only give us butter.... which is weird cos most Italian resturant would give olive oil and balsemic vinegar too.... I would have preferred the later one... never mind, at least the bread was nice, and they gave us plenty too...
Order a spaghetti w/ tomato & seafood sauce, it was ok, had plenty of tomatos, prawns, squids,and clams shells (wat happend to da meat?!?!), if you like the above and like your spaghetti al dente, then you will like this dish~
Also tried their Veal w/ lemon sauce (my BF's choice), I would say this is a fusion dish, we both thought their beef tasted like those chinese fried Ho-Fun beef~ haha~ and the lemon sauce tasted just like da sauce for lemon chicken~ haha~ but we enjoyed it really, shame they dun come with a bowl of rice tho... haha~
Wish they could expand their dessert menu, nothing appealing at all... sigh~ we ordered 2 cupa coffee, saw their antique espresso machine, and it smelled so lovely brewing... but the coffee were a little burnt... aiya.... wasted the fine beams and the every expensive Italian made machine wor~ haha~
