I was Ricky usual customer for over 10 years since he opened the first restaurant in Chai Wan. Then he moved to Wai Chai. Finally, he moved to the university bistro. We saw he opened the bistro in universiity and looking forward to book it immediately. We have booked with 私房菜 due to many year of trust. Unfortunately, we get totally disappointed with the quality of food and the cooking...This is even worst than 大快活 and totally ruin the friday dinner. The starter are cheese , ham. shrimp with ga
The starter are cheese , ham. shrimp with garlic . You can taste shrimp is tastless and it is poor frozen food. Believe it or not. this is already the best dish for the whole dinner. Then it serve a small 羅宋湯. taste like water. Then it serve carbonara. we have 4 persons and they come with only 2 dishs and we need to share. unbelievable as this is the main dish of a HKD 500 set dinner. Also it is too salty. Finally, it serve 2 dish of beef and roasted pork and of course need to share among 4 persons. It is cold and the beef is all fat and pork is simply bad. All do not get intention to try and all have been packed away. Finally, it serve dessert . I do not even try to take one. They do not even able to offer coffee so I can only order hot lemon tea but it is cold.
The environment is OK and clean that I expect for a university canteen. Most of the waiter is young and very inexperience. The waiter that serve us is really good but the quality of food and cooking ruin everything. If I can rank negative for the food , I have no doubt that rank it as minus 100
