Golem was a rare bar restaurant in Shek Mun restarant cluster. The entire interior design was typical bar restuarant with dark ambience, bar tables, displays, live football TV broadcast (though small-sized and hardly visible from most seats) etc. There were substantial waiters and waitresses of similar age and attractiveness who talked with each other a lot without intervening their job duties. Highlight of the night went to the pale ale beer chicken ($190 for a whole chicken). The chicken was prepared by indirect grilling with canned gwei lo Pilsner Craft Beer filled in chicken’s cavity prior to cooking. The chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. Beware of the spilling out when cutting the chicken with the chicken bone sicssors! The beer favor was outstanding at first bite but remained pretty subtle aftet that. We were reminded to wait for 30 minutes for preparation but it turned put to be 50 minutes. It would be unacceptable if we did not order snacks which were served prior to the main. The quality was worth the long wait yet we should be informed regarding the delay.
