The Pond is an interesting place, with all the westernized decoration this place actually serves very Chinese food. I think the only kind of twist they made is on their cocktails which can get quite fancy. This place is like a Sichuan and Beijing food crossover. I thought the food was decent and probably good enough for people around that area to revisit given the limited choice in that area, nevertheless I don't think I'll say it's very overwhelming and I thought it's a little overpriced. I thought the food was decent and probably good enough for people around that area to revisit given the limited choice in that area, nevertheless I don't think I'll say it's very overwhelming and I thought it's a little overpriced. I think the "mouth water chicken" was pretty nice and the "fried son chicken" was very good, remaining dishes were at best mediocre.
But having that said, the drinks were pretty fancy and I thought the decoration was somewhat interesting. I do feel they can do better on services given that price tag.
