We arrived at 19:30 and the shop was crowded. My husband told the staff that "1 piece of mini roll for each favor" and the staff told me that there were 6 kinds. Thus, I bought 6 mini rolls (@ HK$10 each). After a 10 minutes taxi ride, the rolls back to room temperature. To make it taste better, we put to the ice box for 30 minutes. Actually, I don't know what are they because I didn't look at their tag in the shop. However, I cross my figures that ALL TASTE GREAT!
The green tea roll was absolutely the most impressive because of its favor. It gave me a feeling like drink a cup of traditional Japanese green tea in Kyoto. I wish local bakery can use high quality green tea powder with reasonable quantity for their product. See, this shop use the right green tea powder at the right quantity that results such excellent taste. The banana and maple syrup rolls waere another impresive for their good match with the whipped cream.
I like their swiss rolls because of:
1. overall strong favor: you can have the green tea, banana, chocolate, maple syrup, that you expected to taste in their product,
2. nice and soft whipped cream,
3. creative design on the "three layers" of swiss rolls: it is found that the rolls has three layers, the green tea sponge cake + green tea paste + whipped cream. The paste enhanced the favor of the roll,
4. lovely box design and elegant shop design, and
5. polite and well trained staff.
It is no doubt that I will come again the near future.
