We will wandering in Tsim Sha Tsui iSquare looking for savory restaurants only to find that they were all full. Then we thought of the underground one nearby i.e. Wu Kong Shanghai Restaurant.

It was nearly 8 pm and luckily there was a table for four. We ordered for the Peking Duck but was told that this was sold out already. We were disappointed of course and was pondering over the Set dinner for four. The waitress encouraged us to try it out and promised that it would be enough for us. We were skeptical but were too hungry to order otherwise.

COLD DISHES (Assorted food platter of Four)
拍黃瓜Cucumber - Average

鎮江肴肉 Zhenjiang meat - Average

醬鴨 Duck with sauce - Surprisingly juicy and tender meat

舟山海蜇頭 Zhoushan jellyfish head - Small threads of jellyfish made it more chewy

MAIN DISHES
清炒蝦仁 Fried shrimp - Simple and non-decorated which was served with excellent vinegar

松子大桂魚 Braised Mandarin Fish (Boneless) w/ Sweet & Sour Sauce - very tasty but a little bit oily

南翔小籠包 Steamed Shanghai Pork Dumplings - Above average

醃篤鮮 Shanghai Specialty in Casserole : fresh pork & salted pork with bamboo shoot soup - all ingredients highlighted the flavour of each other very nicely. The salted pork was a little bit too rough though

金粟雞米天穹饅頭 Corn and chicken in canopy of steamed bun - last time I tried this was with crab meat but this turned out to be a more economical version yet it was just about right with much less cholesterol

DESSERT
拔絲香蕉 Banana in hot toffee - The mousse was sold out and they gave us this instead. However, it was really disappointing as there was only toffee with no hint of the silky threads. It lacked the spirit of this dish.

In summary, they served with efficiency and it was out of my expectation as the overall standard of food was very high. We did not have the chance to order the Peking duck but it looked very attractive and juicy on other people's table.

I strongly recommend to go with more friends to try out different dishes.
题外话/补充资料: Book in advance in particular for the Peking duck which is sold out very quickly.
