When I was living in San Diego, Vietnamese food has been my go to choice. Needless to say, I’ve tried plenaries of great Vietnamese restaurant. We went to the one located at Mong Kok. The place is big enough, and you actually feel spacious. Enough talking, let’s get to the main courses. Salt baked grey mullet with Basel - while the dish took a while to serve, the 45 minutes wait is definitely worth it. The mullet is very tender. The salt covered up the whole skin, penetrated through the skin and gave the meat itself a hint of salt, while the Basel is stuffed into the fish. I highly recommend this.

Butter fried chicken wings - if you ever tried a great Vietnamese restaurant, you know this is a must try. While I thought they would never be able to make fried chicken wings like I used to have in the state, I was wrong, so wrong that I felt sorry for myself. The skin is so crispy; the meat is very juicy; the butter flavor is strong.

Mixed grilled platter - again a surprising dish. They grilled the meat when you order so it’s fresh and hot when it’s served. Can’t go wrong with that.

Overall, I’ll go to this restaurant again. It’s very affordable and delicious. It’s a bang for your buck.
