Booked a table for 4 from openrice at 18:30 last night, received phone confirmation so that we double confirmed we were going. As I was finishing work in central and ruuuuuun to the restaurant--obviously missed one call from the receptionist on my way, when arrived at 18:44 the girl simply told me "oh I tried to call you and since no answer I have your table away", which was absolutely shocking!!! Booked a table for 4 from openrice at 18:30 last night, received phone confirmation so that we double confirmed we were going. As I was finishing work in central and ruuuuuun to the restaurant--obviously missed one call from the receptionist on my way, when arrived at 18:44 the girl simply told me "oh I tried to call you and since no answer I have your table away", which was absolutely shocking!!! To make it worse, she further elaborated it was the window table that she gave away, so 4 of us were shuffled to a corner. To our understanding, anywhere, literally anywhere in HK the table holding time is 15 mins, if less, during a call confirmation they actually TELL YOU! So in this case, what was the point calling during the day to make sure that we were coming, whilst gave it away where we were actually ON TIME! What's worse, the service was very so so, at one point, my friend was still having food that was in her plate, and the waitress already picked up her plate and changed into dessert settings...... Never again!
