Grocery shopping in Sogo on evening, I came across a pop-up counter in the grocery store for the Cafe Life. They were focusing on sakura pastries, cakes and cookies. Interested, I decided to get a roll cake for dessert after dinner.Costing only $68, this is their sakura roll cake. It was really pretty. The cake was soft and moist. There was a slight sweetness but not too much.There was lone pickled sakura on top to make it extra pretty. The cream had some sakura mixed in and you can taste it as

There was lone pickled sakura on top to make it extra pretty. The cream had some sakura mixed in and you can taste it as well. It was a near perfect cake except for one thing. The cream. There was still a bit of under incorporated sugar in the cream. I could taste a bit of grainy texture so you clearly cannot say it was a smooth creamy texture. That was disappointing to an otherwise gorgeous cake.
