Flippers. That souffle pancake place from Japan located inside i.t. in Hysan Place. The one with the long LONG lines. But I wanted to go. OH! I wanted to go. But I wasn't keen on waiting in line.So, one evening, boyfriend and I walked by and he noticed there was only 5 people in line. We might as well try it! YAY I THOUGHT! YAY!Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge but there is a minimal of one order per person. You order and pay at the cashier and they'll bring the food

And yes ... pancakes!
As there were two of us, we ordered two items. This is the chocolate mocha frappe ($39). It was nice and chocolatey. Not too icy as well.
We shared this: kiseki pancake ($119). It said it would take 20 minutes but we waited 45 minutes for ours. It looked beautiful. Lovely strawberries, slices of bananas and blueberries with some whipped cream on top of three fluffy pancakes. But it only looked pretty and it smelled lovely. It was undercooked. The middle was still sticky. The whipped cream was bland. The strawberries? Sour. These were definitely not Japanese strawberries! The only good thing is we didn't have to stand in line!
Personally, I've been to quite a few of the popular souffle pancake places (except Gram and AM/PM). But Flippers at this price range and originating from Japan is clearly the worst I've had so far. Won't be back.
