The food at HoLanJeng is really ho lan jeng! 😂 Forgive me for my joke, but I finally made my way to their new location at LKF 29 located on Wyndham Street. — This really exceeded my expectations! I usually only order char siu rice at 茶餐廳, and honestly I debated for a while if I should get this because of its price 😂 but after seeing how popular it is I decided I had to give it a try! The char siu was SO delicious, perfect distribution of fat throughout, meat was tender and juicy. The roast on it was nicely done, and I loved the rich honey taste that came through. The pork fat rice was fragrant and super addicting. Really enjoyed the addition of seaweed which gave the dish a nice twist to it and also added an extra bit of savouriness.

— Perfect for all soft shell crab lovers! Huge portion size that will definitely fill you up. The soft shell crab was coated in a very light batter which made the dish feel less greasy and dense. It was seasoned really well and had the perfect level of savouriness to it. The avocado purée was also really nice, it had a smooth texture and added some acidity to the sandwich to cut through the oil coming from the fried soft shell crab. The side salad that came with this could be improved, the dressing was slightly odd, overly sweet and did not work well with the veggies in the salad.
📍Ambiance: spacious seating but slightly odd arrangements, staff are friendly and enthusiastic, nice decor and neon lights which are good for photos.
Will definitely visit again!
