After reading through the restaurant review from U Travel magazine, I decided to give this new restaurant a try. This restaurant is small and the tables are closely packed together, with only 18 seats. Unfortunately, they only stocked four types of oysters that night, including Irish Rock, Tasmanian, Blue Point and Kumomato. The tastes were too mild to my liking, and they weren't fat and fresh enough. (If you poke the side of a fresh oyster with a fork, it should react to your attack.) Among the four types of oysters, I prefered the small and roundish Kumomato. It was the only one giving an after-taste.
After the oyster appetiser, we ordered set dinners from the menu (ranges from $100-200).
The wild mushroom soup is fairly thick with no lack of ingredients. The smoked salmon caesar salad is big, but they used too much dressing.
The scallop and prawn angel hair pasta is handled well. The texture of the pasta remained firm, without soaking up the tomato sauce. The rib-eye is ok. I wanted it medium and I got it medium.
From what I observed, they could only serve one round of customers per night. They should consider ways to speed up the cooking to target two rounds per night.
I hope they can gather a stable customer base to allow them to stock a wider range of high quality fresh oysters everyday.
Until then, if you wanna have an oyster feast, Oyster Station remains my top pick.
