Very recently, we noticed a new hot pot place in town, just opposite Hysan place, and just as the weather was getting breezier, my urge for hot pot had gotten bigger. The place was nicely renovated, with all types of table sizes for small and larger parties. I asked a very nice waitress to recommend us the soup base, and she told us to try the Spicy soup and the Fungus soup ($159). I'm glad we decided to go with it because the sweet and fresh fungus soup complemented the hot, spicy soup that came beside it.
We ordered a variety of different ingredients, including the 1 METRE beef ($159). This was really quite a good deal, seeing as the beef were genuinely served on a one-metre platter. It was thinly sliced and we took care not to put it in the pot for too long, and it came out tender and delicious.
We also went for the Grass Carp ($88), which was amazing! It was honestly really crunchy at the skin area, and I loved that it soaked up the soup very well.
Among other ingredients were the Frozen tofu ($48), the Sweet Potato Noodles ($38), the Squid slices ($67), Celtus slices ($55) and Watercress ($44).
All in all, I was very satisfied with my time at this restaurant and I hope to come back for more soon!
