Havent see my sis S2 for a wee while, we used to work in the same office butI left so we just need to meet every 1-2 months for some proper catch up. We went to a Korean Fried Chicken Place. The staff recommended us the original Fried Chicken as it will come with 3 different sauce and we have got the flexibility. We also ordered the spicy tteokbokki and Corn Cheese, and a couple of drinks.
A pot of spicy tteokbokki arrived 10 mins after we order. It was kinda spicy , contain korean fish cakes , rice cake, veges and mushroom. It was a very rich in flavour dish, but personally prefer to have it with a thicker texture. S2 liked it a lot so I am more than happy.
The fried chicken in here come in bone-in or boneless version, we choose the Lazy version (boneless) today as I cant be screw to eat bone in chicken after a long day. It came in a tray with a silver bowl of chicken, 3 dipping (salt/spicy/yogurt cream), a side salad and some pickles. The chicken cubes are about 2inches and there are quite a lot of them.
Chicken is crispy, not too dried out, I liked it with the yogurt cream sauce. It was a nice decent treat to have a piece of chicken and have a couple of sips of beer! The pickles are a bit too sour for me but it definitely help wash away the greasiness of the fried chicken.
Finally is the corn cheese. It’s something can’t go wrong , as long as we eat them hot! Would taste even nicer it is sightly more buttery.
For drinks S2 has a fruit punch and I had a beergarita. The beergarita has a decent appearance, just wish that I learn the tricks of how to make one at home in this appearance. Overall the experience is good, gotta come back again and try out other chicken options.
For me , seeing S2 is the mission for tonight, it was good to have good company after a long day at work.
