We were trying to find a spot for brunch on this sunny morning (but with a T3 storm warning), went to Coffee Alley wanting to try our luck but the line was freaking crazy! Really? Wait an hour for a cup of coffee? You must be joking. The closest restaurants near us would be Caroline Hill Road, but we found out nothing opens before 12pm, not even cafe who offers waffles. Strawberry Fries
Upon seating, we found a smaller side menu promoting strawberry fries. Interesting, I thought. We got one to share. To my surprise, the sweet strawberry sauce is a great match with the salty fries. The first few strands were a bit weird because we were being skeptical about the pairing, but they did actually taste well together. Despite the good sauce pairing, one important element contributing to the greatness of this fries was the extreme crispiness of the fries. Good Job Burgeroom.
Double Shot Iced AmericanoThere is something about illy coffee that makes its taste unique. I remember my first time at Burgeroom. sipping a freshly brewed cup of coffee, wondering if its from illy, looked up for signs and found Burgeroom did use illy coffee. The blend they use was actually quite mild in taste and very easy to drink. I should have order it hot so I could taste the real character of the coffee, but I was too hot to care lol.
