the milk-tea in Lan Fong Yuen is exceptional, but at least it's got
the right look and it's got the right smell.
this place is so crowded all the time even the critics here say it sucks.
i couldn't help but wonder:
people choose a restaurant for its fame and hype?
for its bargain and size?
or, like the majority of us,
we can easily forgive the real estate developers for the monthly $8000 mortgage burden that they put on our shoulders, while we cannot tolerate a mere $15 豬扒包
because "麵包烘過本身已經很乾"?

this is my testimony:
- i return for the 喇沙豬肋骨米 because the 喇沙 is not as hot as in a Thai place.
it's typical 茶餐廳 version of 喇沙, which i like
- i return for the 雞扒撈丁 because of the 蔥油
- i return for the 咖央西多 because of the 咖央 sauce
- i return for the 奶茶 because it's so typical HK
- and i return again, though it's crowded and the waiters indeed signal you to leave once you finish, because it's a bloody 港式茶餐廳!

people looking for good service and atmosphere, please go to Mandarin Grill + Bar, and give us the 圓凳!
