Set lunch pretty good value. Set up in a luxurious and spacious basement room. It's a pity they moved the restaurant to basement of hotel, but although there is no more view, setting remains comfortable and luxurious.Antipasti buffet starters simple and good. Antipasti buffet starters simple and good. Salads made with high quality ingredients. Particularly notable the whole leg of ham sliced to order. Mozarella in mixed salad also particularly worth noting.
Pasta course all-round great. Al dente texture done very well with a variety of fresh pasta (linguine, capellini, fusilli, cannelloni) pared with a choice of sauces (white seafood, carbonara, puttanesca etc).
For mains, steak was most excellent. Very high quality meat, well cooked, well seasoned and texture was with bite. Veal was so-so, risotto underneath undercooked. Lamb and fish mains were also well received, though I did not try myself.
Desserts slightly weak. Ricotta cheesecake not as fragrant / cheesy as should be. Ice creams very industrial grade. Other cakes mediocre. Creme brulee very excellent, smooth and not cloying, with subtle addition of surprise ingredient coconut.
