4 of us for Bday dinner. Grumpy made an effort and organised with restaurant. Restaurant personalized our menus with bday msg. Bday boy was impressed.As expected, wine list was very...American. Ordered a glass of US Pinot. Not bad.Friendly server came to intro the different cuts of meat.Then came the signature onion loaf with creamy butter- crispy crust and soft inside. Ordered several appetizers to share, including:
Morton’s salad - filled with bits of goats cheese that I didn’t like. (Wished we ordered the Caesar instead.) Greens were fresh tho.

Onion soup- still piping hot from the oven. 👍🏼Yummy cheesy toasted bread and spoonfuls of rich sweet onion managed to erase the aftertaste of the goats cheese.

2 porter house steaks- one medium, one medium-rare. Porter house steaks usually come with a "T"-shaped bone, cut from the rear end of the short loin and thus include tenderloin and sirloin.
I tried the sirloin first, which was chewy with tendons I had to spit out. Tenderloin however was very tender, went very well with the meat jus that came with it. No need for any condiments.

As sides: we ordered the fries, mushrooms and Mac n cheese. Fries were thin and crispy; Mac n cheese the best ive tasted in a long time- rich in cheese sauce and still hot towards the end. 👍🏼

As dessert, we shared the Morton’s legendary sundae, being chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. 👍🏼

Vanilla soufflé on the house for the bday boy. Nice touch. Server even took a group photo for us and framed it in cardboard. HBD signatures from all the staff.
