We order 4 savory dim sum dishes and 3 sweet items for the 3 of us. Here we go:
Deep-fried Glutinous Rice Dumplings with Dried Shrimps (安蝦鹹水角)
This is deep-fried golden brown with crispy and chewy skin and just the right amount of dried shrimps. Not bad.

1
Deep-fried Squid Tentacles with Spicy Salt (椒鹽魷魚鬚)
This is one of my all-time favorite dishes and it didn't disappoint. We can tell that the squid is fresh and firm while the spicy salt and deep-fried batter with Worcestershire sauce is just perfect. It's not oily at all.

3
Steamed Spare Ribs with Pomelo Peel (柚皮蒸排骨)
My mom loves pomelo peel and the spare ribs are soft with right amount of fat and meat.

1
Steamed Rice Flour Rolls with Shrimps and Scrambled Egg White (賽螃蟹鮮蝦腸粉)
This is disappointing. What happens to the rice flour roll?! It's so thick and chewy that I feel like eating mochi!

Steamed Taro Puree Buns (香芋流沙包) or more appropriately I call this Steamed Taro & Coconut Fondant Bun since the filling is rich with taro and coconut fondant.
This is a new item and tastes & smells really good.

2
Steamed Crystal Cake with Mashed Red Bean (豆沙水晶餅)
Same with the Steamed Rice Flour Rolls with Shrimps and Scrambled Egg White, what happens here? The crystal layer is so thick and tasteless, a flop!

This is steamed just right, the milk custard is smooth and not too thick nor too thin. Great.

The dim sum price is on the expensive side but food is generally good except the rice flour used for Steamed Rice Flour Rolls with Shrimps and Scrambled Egg White and Steamed Crystal Cake with Mashed Red Bean which are unusually thick and chewy. I can't imagine how taut the Shrimp Dumpling would taste with that kind of rice flour.
