this is one of my favorite Shanghai restaurant. But my previous visit was like 1-2 yrs back, as it’s always difficult to book a table.We went there today, hoping it would be less busy on Monday. We called around 7pm to make a reservation for for 8:30pm, 2 persons. The request was taken. At 7:45pm, we called again to change the booking for 4 persons.By the time we arrived the restaurant at 8:15pm, the 知客there told us we are the last in queue, as we are walk-in customers!! We mentioned we did

By the time we arrived the restaurant at 8:15pm, the 知客there told us we are the last in queue, as we are walk-in customers!! We mentioned we did call in advance to make the booking! She said if we are now considered as walk-in customer due to the fact that we changed the no. of person!! I think this is a joke!
We mentioned that if you didn’t promise to make a table available for 4 persons at 8:30p, we wouldn’t have come! But the staff ignored us, insisted on her own way of handling reservation.
This is of extreme bad customer service –or the worst I had ever had in HK. Having to wait till 9pm (yes, 45 mins even after reservation!), we could start the dinner. We could see the staff serving dinner had been very helpful and speedy in serving. However, the first impression was totally damaged by the知客.
