Recently there are many discounts at restaurants. Morton has a new discount menu in March where you can enjoy 3 courses (including the side dish), for less than HKD500.Before the meal, there is a huge onion bread which was really fluffy. The flavor was very appetizing preparing you for the main course.I am rather neutral to bleu cheese so I decided to choose the filet mignon (afterall, it is a steakhouse). I am rather neutral to bleu cheese so I decided to choose the filet mignon (afterall, it is a steakhouse). However for the filet mignon, despite it was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the choice to put bleu cheese butter was definitely not the best combo in my opinion. It was a bit too strong for this dish even if I don't dislike bleu cheese. I think maybe they can consider putting the bleu cheese butter separately so the customer can choose how much to add to it.
The asparagus was cooked just right without being too soft and the onion marmalade went well with its light flavor.
The cream brulee definitely added back points to the menu. The raspberries they chose were sweet and the glaze on top was amazing while the custard was light without making the dish overtly sweet.
Given the discount of this menu, I definitely think it is a great dinner. However, I do warn that even if you are neutral to bleu cheese, reconsider before ordering the filet mignon.
