tried this japanese bbq place on a chilly Sunday, with a bunch of friends over lunch. the restaurant is pretty empty as we stepped in around 1, where there were no more than 20 patrons altogether. the decor is modern/ minimal, and indeed very structured and symmetric, which led to a little harmless joke.the lunch menu was too few selections to be true, it's got 5 different lunch sets ranging from about HKD80 to 120, including bbq beef, soba and beef udon. The a la carte got few bbq dishes too

The a la carte got few bbq dishes too, mostly beef and ox tongue and some ovals which I couldnt care less. we ended up ordering each of us a lunch set, plus the bbq ox tongue....everything is basically all beef, so it's not so vegetarian-friendly and it's not really for those who don't take beef. the beef, as it claims on the menu is the aussie wagyu beef, which was fresh and tender. The cut was a little bit freestyle though. some was strips, some was chunks.... come in all sorts of shapes... one disappointing and even a little bit disgusting thing is that they serve the salad and pickles with the raw meat on the same plate! well, they were in different compartments, but the compartments were hardly defined! the food is good basically, except the coffee and tea, so if they can improve on the way they serve the food and give more effort in making the standard drinks, it's worthwhile to try again with meatlovers!
