It was a bit cold today so me and my friend decided to have steam hotpot. My friend hasn't try it before so she was very excited. We went to this one that is very close to Langham place so we can go shopping after eating. To start with, since me and my friend love pumpkin very much, we chose the pork rib with pumpkin congee as our base. The staff pour a bowl of rice, pork rib and pumpkin into the bottom of the pot and then cover it. She then turn the power on and we saw lots of steam coming out

Our first seafood dish was the Geoduck. To be honest, I always eat them but I've never see them with shell. The best thing about steam pot is that the staff will help you to put them in for you and then she will put a timer on. When it's ready, the timer will starts to beep. The staff told us that each type of seafood needs different amount of time to cook so that's why they put the timer on to make sure they are cook within the best time.

Let's talk about the food now, the geoduck was so sweet, I didn't need to dip it with any sauce at all. I could taste the freshness and sweetness. The texture was not chewy at all! It was crunchy and easy to chew! This is the best geoduck I've ever tasted.

Razor clam was always one of my favourite seafood. The one that they serve here comes with orange sauce. To be honest, I think the orange sauce doesn't match this razor clam at all. The sauce was cheesy and spicy, it covered the freshness of the clam. The cheese flavour was so strong that I couldn't taste the clam. The texture of it was very smooth and soft to chew.

The scallop was our favourite! It was so big! It was so tasty because they put a lot of garlic mixture on it. The texture of the scallop was super smooth and soft. It was also very juicy and sweet. We love the flavour so much that we even drank the soup within the shell. The vermicelli underneath the scallop absorbed all the flavour so they tasted delicious! They were stretchy and soft.

We ordered some octopus balls, pork balls, beef balls and lobster balls. The octopus balls were crunchy and soft. I could taste some octopus within it. I like the way they added a bit of black truffle on top which lift up the flavour. The pork and beef balls were very meaty and easy to chew. The lobster balls were a bit fishy but very soft to chew.

The size of the abalone was quite big and thick. The staff gave us fork and knife to cut it. Again, I don't think they should put any sauce on their seafood. This green sauce they put on was awful. The herb within the sauce does not match with the abalone at all. I need to get rid of all the sauce to eat it. The herb within he sauce was so strong. I needed to dip the abalone with other sauce to eat it. It's such a shame because I like abalone very much but this one........... I don't like it one bit.

The veggie platter came after the seafood. Pumpkin was super sweet and mashy. I loved it so much. The baby potato was soft and tasty. The corn was sweet and juicy.

The highlight of the night must be wagyu beef. I could never imagine steam beef could be that tasty. The beef was so tender and juicy. The texture was just fantastic. It was so smooth and it melted in my mouth. There was no need to dip it with any sauce. We really want to get another plate but we were very full after eating the abalone.

To end our meal, we had two bowls of congee each. The congee was a bit tasteless even the staff added some preserved veggie into it. The pork ribs were dissolve into the congee so we didn't see a lot of them. The pumpkin was sweet and mashy. The rice was soft. I had to add a few drops of soya sauce into my congee otherwise it was tasteless.
