I've decided to meet a friend here at Plaza Hollywood and have dinner together . Originally, we were going to another Japanese restaurant, but in the end, we decided to come here .We came in to the restaurant, and two a staff brought us to a table. I ordered a beef gyudon . The toppings included shredded lettuce, onions and some pickled ginger . The rice on the top was kind of dry, but the ones lower were soft and nice . The beef didn't have much beef taste, but was quite chewy and had a good texture, while the onion was crunchy and the sauce was a good addition . I didn't try the pickled ginger, because I am not a big fan of that, and the lettuce was quite dry, so I didn't have much of that too .
In conclusion, the gyudon was quite okay, not phenomenal nor bad . Hygiene and staff training can be improved, because a dead fly was unnoticed, and customers were taken to that table . I wouldn't really come back, as there are many other good choices in Diamond Hill .
