The outside decor looked nice, kinda put me into a Thai resort setting but I still wanted to try the one on the other end of the street. My eyes then landed on some pictures of celebrities at the entrance and yes, I decided to step in. I admit I'm pretty shallow sometimes ; )So, after a 10 min wait, we were seated in the backyard. Noticed a lot of empty tables which were not cleared. Our server used a dish cloth to wipe our sauce-dipped, spotty tablecloth. Ehh, fine. So our veggies came, but w
So, after a 10 min wait, we were seated in the backyard. Noticed a lot of empty tables which were not cleared. Our server used a dish cloth to wipe our sauce-dipped, spotty tablecloth. Ehh, fine.
So our veggies came, but we got no dishes or chopsticks whatsoever. Asked for rice and water twice. Rice came, but no water, b/c they said they had no cups left. Ehh.. Huh? Can't you just wash one of those hundreds of glasses/ cups behind us?
Finally, two glasses of water came. One of them came w/ a single piece of rice sticking on the edge of the glass and the server wiped it off w/ his finger. Ehh.. Disgusting.
The last group left and we basically took over the backyard, surrounded by dirty dishes. I felt like eating w/ 12 tables of imaginary friends, like a banquet in the backyard. Kinda creepy. Also reminded me of dumpster diving back in my college years. Seriously, it was like a waste site or even worse, a landfill w flies. Well, some guys finally came and tried to clean up the tables, when we were almost done w/ our mediocre food. I deserve to have better service w/ $630 for two right? I mean, if you don't have enough people, either hire more or let fewer customers in. It's unfair how the front yard looked so nice and the backyard was like poopoo..!
Won't return for the next time. Definitely not worth the drive to Tai Mei Tuk. Will only return when the servers pass 'customer service 101'. Way to go, people. Way to go.
