Luke Nguyen has always been one of the Chef I have watched a lot on the Food Network. The food at Moi Moi definitely is not the same as the ones he cook or eat on the Vietnam street side. But the food here at this restaurant serves his idea of Vietnam trendy food. I was actually quite lucky when it first opened, I came for dinner one night and Luke himself was cooking and guiding his chefs. The food served at dinner has more of a family sharing type of idea and does not have the easy to eat food like the banh mi or the beef noodle soup.
This time I came for lunch and had the banh mi Sandwich with the beef pho. Definitely one of the must order in any Vietnamese restaurants. Here the beef was very tender, soup was flavourful with lots of meat flavour. The banh mi had warm but crisp outer skin while the inside of the bread was very soft, yum!
