Long time no go 杏花邨. I came here to do something and decided to go back to Cafe Paradise for lunch before leaving. Interior decoration was very nice with high ceilings and a pretty 旋轉木馬 near the entrance area. We had tried this before and wanted to encore. It was quite a large slice of steak and was placed on a hot stone grill when it was served to us. The server advised us to grill the other side first before we start to cut it.

The steak was cooked very fast. We had to act quick. It was easy to cut and was so juicy and tender. We ate it when it was about medium rare. Even the tendon tasted pretty good. You could grill it to however cooked you want. The server offered to change the stone grill to a plate when we had finished cooking it. Very considerate of them. There were two sauces served on the side, one was roasted sauce and another was slightly spicy. Both sauces went well with the steak although I personally fancied roasted sauce. We could choose rice, spaghetti or potato wedges to go with the steak. We asked for potato wedges and portion was so big. The potato wedges were not seasoned and were relatively healthy. They went great with the ketchup on the side. We had topped up for the soup, salad, dessert and drink last time but this time we decided not to as the steak itself was best and offered great value for money.
The prices of their afternoon tea sets seemed quite cheap so we couldn’t help but try two sets. There was quite a good variety of choices on their afternoon tea set menu.
Mushroom and Black Truffle Pizza at $58+10%
It was very efficient of them that the pizza was the first to arrive. It smelt pretty rich of black truffle and was quite cheesy when I took a slice out. There were quite some mushrooms on top. The crust was those thick type yet it was quite crunchy. Typical afternoon tea set pizza you would expect.
Baked Spaghetti with Tuna in Cheese Cream Sauce at $48+10%
It was obviously ovened but not microwaved. The cheese cream sauce and tuna formed a coagulated cover on top. The spaghetti was those thin type and was pretty al dente. There were some mushrooms in addition to tuna. Typical afternoon tea set pasta you would expect.

A 是日特飲 came with all sets and it was Lemon Soda for the day. It was not overly sweet or gasy and portion was big. Pretty nice drinks!
In short, their stone grill top blade muscle was really good value for money and worth trying.
