We booked and the restaurant had a few empty tables when we arrived at 8.30 pm.  The maximum capacity is about 30 persons. Through a glass partition one can see part of the kitchen (4 persons working there can be seen) and then there were 3 ladies working the floor. Overheads are pretty high in HK.

Each of us order the abalone appetizer which was a success.  The abalone is about 1x2 inches large, obviously fresh and not dried (as that will be astronomical in price). Presented in a half shell and tasted succulent, with a japanese style dressing.  A scoop of Japanese style salad separated the abalone from a round piece of food which could have passed for a mushroom but was in fact a piece of turnip or what the Japanese call daikon, cooked to perfection. The sauce was of miso variety, and totally absorbed into the daikon which was melting in the mouth as soon as it got in.

For the main course the stuffed chicken is very filling.  One small complaint is that the skin was not crispy at all. The chicken meat was very tender and juicy and the filling complemented it well, in terms of flavour and texture. There was mushroom and spinach for the filling which, true to the description was filling.

You can order  desserts individually for HK 88 or a sampler which contains 3 items of your choice at a reduced fee (or about 2 desserts or a bit more).  We ordered tiaramisu, panna cotta plus chocolate cake with a bit of ice-cream. The trio was presented on a wooden board with a sprinkling of icing sugar.  The tiaramisu was the best of the three, moist and evenly balanced in the flavours, definitely a winner. The panna cotta provided a contrast, a lighter taste with sliced strawberry. The chocolate cake was the let down as it was somewhat dry and underwhelming.

Service is fine although I can imagine that they can get very hectic if the place were entirely full.
