The small authentic restaurant has a wonderful surprise for anyone who loves their Thai cuisine. The atmosphere is great, with some Thai speaking waiters serving for the night just gives the whole experience just a little more Thai feel. First up, I had the raw prawns served with some garlic and chilli. The firm texture of the fresh prawns combined with a nice delicate presentation really was a great starter to the night. Next on the menu, was a wonderful cabbage wrapped pork meat. The meat contained wonderful Thai aromas that gave the pork a nice sour kick. The pork was also on the spicy side, so a word of warning for people who can't handle the spice!

Next up I had an incredibly presented Tiger Prawn Pad Thai. The tiger prawn itself is value for money. The lightly fried prawn gave it a nice crispy texture, not to mention it was served with a classic Thai sweet chilli sauce! Yum! What was unique with this pad Thai, was the inclusion of sugar to the normal peanuts and chilli flakes you see in other pad thai's around Hong Kong. For those that have been to Thailand will know that the pad thai is actually served with sugar. Truly authentic pad Thai, and hands down the best around the area! A must have when at Thai-In!

Next on the menu, I had the egg curry crab pot with a separate serving of garlic bread. For starters, these 2 dishes were simply made for each other. The curry crab pot tasted amazing and was not super spicy. The sauce consistency, perfect. Many places I have tried before, the sauce was too runny but the chef at Thai-In has really done a good job of having just enough sauce to stick to the shells of the crab. Very well done. In terms of the garlic bread, served with this curry sauce, match made in heaven.

To round off the night, one must have a mango sticky rice pudding! The mango was sweet and the rice most importantly was warm. The only downside to this was abit too much rice. Maybe after the full meal before I had this might of played a factor to this though .
All in all, the food was very authentic and the chef here really knows what he is doing. I can see the passion from the dishes served. I hope this place can continue to serve such top quality food at a good fair price! Thumbs up!
