We were going to try some kushikatsu (deep fried skewers) in our Japan trip but didn’t get to coz of our tight itinerary. Their weekend lunch sets include an appetizer, kushikatsu (deep fried skewers) & kushiyaki (grilled skewers) a main and a drink~ there’s a wide selection of food and I didn’t feel deprived of choices as a vegetarian myself 🥰

We ordered a 4-skewer and 7-skewer weekend izakaya lunch plus additional kushikatsu and a dessert.

The overall quality was really good~ we were a bit worried that it might be “heaty” but then their kushikatsu didn’t have this problem at all! The batter was thin and crispy and wasn’t greasy👍🏻The kushiyaki were charred but still moist inside😋

Our favourite was the cheese skewer~ loved the melty cheese in the crispy thin batter🤩 The one with truffle might be even better~my friend said truffles and cheese made the best pair😋 (I didn’t try it coz it had some Parma ham on top🥺🙈)

The soft boiled egg is another one if their must-tries... I mean, how to resist this creamy runny egg yolk ? 😉 The gooey rice cakes and the cinnamon-y crispy Fuji apple were great too!

What I appreciated was that the staff were very friendly and helpful that they clearly explained to us how to enjoy the skewers before each dish was served💚

Will definitely come back again in the evening to try their wide variety of Japanese wine 😉

之前喺日本經過一間好有風味嘅串掦店,但因為行程太趕,所以最終都係冇試到🙈
知道香港都有一間幾出名嘅串揚店Jan Jan, 所以一返到嚟就即刻book枱去食🤗

餐廳氣氛好好,一入去就見到嗰好可愛嘅石像,入面亦有日式卡座,木色嘅裝橫好有日本feel😉

佢地居酒屋午餐包咗前菜、串揚、串燒、主菜同飲品~串物選擇好多,連素食嘅小篇都有好多選擇🤩飲品就連比較冷門嘅Calpis都有~

我哋最後試兩set週末居酒屋午餐,別係4串set($148)同7串嘅set($178),格外再叫咗少少其它食物~
💚黑松露芝士、芝士、紅薯、連根、年糕、薯仔串揚
💚半熟蛋串揚
💚山芋串燒、椎茸串燒
💚醬油飯團
💚味噌飯團
💚炸富士蘋果

啲串揚質素非常高~初初都怕會有啲熱氣,點知啲串揚脆得嚟一啲都唔油,炸得好均勻,脆漿又夠薄👍🏻串燒香口得嚟唔乾😋

特別鍾意佢個芝士串揚,一層又薄又脆嘅炸漿入面包住拉絲芝士,好正🥰同行友人話佢嗰串黑松露芝士,成件事好夾,仲正👍🏻 可惜上面有火腿,小篇冇得試🙈

招牌流心蛋亦係必試之選~咬完啲啲蛋汁流晒出嚟,好治癒😉其他食物亦好有水準,年薯串楊煙煙韌韌,山芋亦新鮮爽脆😋甜品炸富士蘋果都幾好味,有少少似蘋果批,但爽爽地,冇咁漏🍎

難得嘅係餐廳好有誠意,餐前會送一份生椰菜俾客人(通常淨係正宗日本餐廳先有)💚每上一道菜,店員都好有心機解釋返每道食物應該點食,點啲乜嘢最夾👍🏻

餐廳仲有好多唔同嘅日本酒供應,下次一定會試吓夜晚嚟,同朋友飲吓酒傾吓偈😉
