I had seen this place a couple of times while shopping for veggies on Graham St. I'm a big banh mi fan, so it was high on my list of places to try, so today I went for it.First, we were treated abysmally. First, we were treated abysmally. My wife and I ordered two different sandwiches, which we planned to split (so we could each try two). They brought us out two of the same sandwiches. That, in and of itself, is understandable-- Hong Kong restaurants can be pretty bad about getting your order right. Before *we* said anything about it, the *server* said "sorry about the mix up". This means that he knew he was giving us the wrong order, he was telling us that he was giving us the wrong order, and he was presuming that we weren't going to ask him to get it right.
That is not a "mix-up". That is knowingly giving people food that they didn't order, just because it's easier and cheaper for *you*. I haven't seen such audacious spit-in-your-face service outside of mainland China.
Now let's talk food.
The sandwich we got two of, after only ordering one of, was the "deluxe". It came with pate, "ham", pork knuckle, and shredded chicken. There was almost no pate, the "ham" was Vietnamese sausage (not that that's a bad thing), and the shredded chicken was very dry and unappetizing looking. There was no mayonnaise, and no hot sauce (though I got some sauce by asking). Most of the sandwich was pickled carrots & radish, and cilantro. The baguette was not crispy.
The experience was very much like eating a pickle sandwich on soft bread, with every now and then some dry chicken showing up. Actually, it wasn't *like* that, it *was* that.

We also got a rice paper roll. The wrapper was rubbery, and that's one of the main attractions. C
I got a lime soda. It was refreshing, but nothing special. B
My original plan was to have the sandwich, and then come back another day for the pho. But I'm not coming back. The sandwich was just barely passable, I saw some people eating the pho and it didn't look particularly good, and I feel we were treated pretty horrendously. I'm giving this place an F.
