I often prefer to visit restaurants in Prince Edward, not as crowded, and within a comfortable walking distance to Mongkok for post-meal shopping. We enjoyed an awesome dinner at the homey and conveniently located The Pal Isle Cafe. Delicious dishes at an affordable price range despite no dinner set available. I hold no hesitation to recommend the café.Japanese Style Udon in Soup/Cold with Ginger Pork Belly $98During summer, cold udon is an ideal and fresh choice for me. On the left is a cup of
Japanese Style Udon in Soup/Cold with Ginger Pork Belly $98
During summer, cold udon is an ideal and fresh choice for me. On the left is a cup of yuzu soup with ice and the staff suggested dipping the udon into the soup. I appreciate such an arrangement so diners could really enjoy literally cold udon, at least for the first few sips. Since the udon and pork belly are served warm, temperature of the soup rises after a few dips, as expected. Anyway, my stomach was satisfied.
Miso Glazed Halibut $168
It’s what my friend ordered. As a lean fish being mildly sweet with firm white flesh, halibut pairs well with most seasonings. Served with salad greens, mushrooms and potato mash. Comments from my friend – well above average!
Kids Juice (Apple / Orange) $32
Apple juice with a nice presentation.
Overall, lovely food, lovely location.
