It used to cost $80-100 per person for breakfast with egg benedict & waffle. By the time, I heard that 798 Unit has Sunday brunch at $98@, I decided to go. Unfortunately, I could not find time until recently.It was actually nice to go nowadays than shortly after a magazine introduction. I have no difficulty to make a reservation. On the day we visited, it was quite quiet. It was excellent for 4 of us to chat freely without any pressure. Food was served fast. There was no problem on the service.T

The menu was so comprehensive with choice of 20 savory bites and 20 sweet bites. It offered a wide range of selection from salad, deep fried snacks (chicken ball, cheese ball), burger, egg benedict, sandwiches, meat (rack of lamb, pork), spaghetti & soup. For sweet lovers, you may pick cakes, tarts, pudding, waffle, ice-cream, etc. A drink p[er person was included; e.g. tea, coffee, juice. Besides, water was re-filled continuously.
We almost tried all savory bites:
Chicken ball – taste good
Mini-burger – some of us like it. I did not like the beef to be cold
Egg benedict – disappointing. They just put a poach egg on a burger bread. A delicious egg benedict should have more ingredients; e.g. vinegar, Hollandaize sauce, parsley and possibly ham. What I could expect for a $98 brunch!!
Rack of lamb – the first order was better than the second order which was deep fried and over done
Pasta with cheese – it said it was special. I found it so so.
Bean Soup – nice to have a hot soup served, taste all right
Sweet bites:
They are all OK.
In conclusion, it is a good choice for gathering places. Taste of food is just not bad. You can sit for 5 hours since the brunch serves from 11:30am to 5pm.
