Not too hungry on a Saturday evening, my friend and I decided to grab a drink for our meet up. We arrived at Hans, few minutes’ walk from TST East station. It is a mini bar with around 30 seats. The vibe is quite friendly with festive decorations and a kitchen bar. Time made us hungrier. We eventually shared four snacks and a glass of mulled wine. Chilled- Japanese appetizer platter for 2 $128
Edamame, grilled puffer fish, grilled menkaido and cheese shuto are neatly presented.
Heavy- Tortellini served with white truffle oil and mixed mushroom sauce $108
A warm dish for the night, not that heavy despite being in the ‘heavy’ category.
Deep fried- deep fried bean curd with mapo tofu sauce $78
An innovative one for me- the bean curd is served in Nachos style. The Nachos is very thin and mildly flavored.
Meat lover- grilled beef tongue $118
4 skewers were served.
Mulled wine $88/ glass
A steaming mug of spiced red wine is synonymous with winter festivities. A glass of mulled wine always reminds me of the European Christmas. It’s lovely to have this drink a week before Christmas.
